SHOCK! / °C-ute

Post by Noa »

I didn't see a topic for this. :x Sorry if there's already one. It's just a crappy live preview.

Personally I vote they just give Airi a solo career and Chisato a chance to sing.

Could you fix the title? It's in ugly Japanese letterings. :X

Anyway, I think I like it? It's hard to tell, but it's all Airi, so that's enough to make me love it. >:]

It's good. The only problem is that's too much Airi and not enough of everybody else but hey, it's C-ute after all. Hopefully this won't be the final production of the song.

I really like this song to be honest. I just wish the beginning didn't remind me of Kimagure Princess (Russian Mix).

I really hope they pull a Koi wa Hassou with this song. The original version had a different arrangement and was changed when they switched it to a b-side. Hopefully they give the other members lines, but I highly doubt it. :/

Is the PV going to be a poor mans version of My Boy with bits of Forever Love set in the middle east? Because that's what it feels like it could be.

The song sounded meh, I'll form a better opinion with a PV version.

I've been really underwhelmed with C-ute lately. I want to like them because I like the girls in the group but it's becoming very hard with the last few singles. Especially with the overuse of the Airi Maimi show. Don't get me wrong, I love Airi and Maimi but I want to hear the other girls too! More Chisato!

Since the quality isn't great, I thought I heard Maimai at the beginning of one or two of the verses, but no idea... I don't remember the song at all after listening to the preview though.

Kimagure Princess was Russian inspired to begin with. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... tongue.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

I think for Koi wa Hassou, that extra bit in the arrangement remained in the earlier live performances. I remember that it had a weird ass vocal mixing part in the intro like here.

That part wasn't in the c/w version.

Shock is okay, but I'm PIIIIIIIIIISSED that the Takui & Tsunku collaboration on the "end of the year" C-ute single was just fan-made bullshit, why was that in the release thread?

This song is so strange I can't stop laughing, not in a good way. I don't think it will get better with better quality but it seems they spent more time making it than in Zekkouchou EVERYDAY!! and for that I'm happy. Who is the first one singing? (I mean, in "Aa, Sorosoro...") Maimi again?

I guess the "5 member Morning Coffee <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... hawhaw.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> " thing should have been a red flag that it was a fan's doing. UFA doesn't really think like that. ...and Hirata doing Morning Coffee? Why didn't I question that. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... >/rofl.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Still, I find it strange that they pulled it off so close to the time of a real C-ute release announcement, was there word of one being made ..or just luck?

Why does C-ute keep getting all these crappy songs? They need to do more songs like Tokkaiko Junjou, Namida no Iro and Forever Love. I don't care about the line distribution in C-ute songs anymore, there's no use bitching about something that won't change.

I agree, but I don't think that even Berryz Koubou have been getting good songs, they are all quite forgettable... Morning Musume alone got lucky, and three times this year. Tsunku needs to get better composers (meaning, out of the same guys from UF), he's getting too old.

I suppose there's a case to be made that Tsunku has been stretching himself thin with all his projects, but it's kind of silly to point to two songs that were only released last year as evidence that he's losing his touch. Maybe he's just been sad that Kanna got pregnant and has to work out of his depression since then.

well now there's five people. i love airi and everybody else but they should distribute lines more evenly. airi has a beautiful voice but now chisato and the others have grown and their voices are so beautiful! i agree to whoever says let chisato sing too.

Ok, it's nice that they've kind of textured Maimi's hair, but did they have to dress her in the manliest outfit of all of them? <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... dammit.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';/' />

Close your mouth Airi. You've got that Koharu-mildly-retarded look going on, and you can do better.

I change my mind about mini-hats. I'd rather have that then the magic hat Chisato was stuffed on her head. It's so big and white. D:

I had a jacket like Chisato is wearing when I was little.... I'm not proud of that fact. Really I'm not.

For a single called Shock, I was expecting a little more color. I hope the PV isn't using just these outfits because that's not shocking at all. :<

For an album called Rainbow 7, I think we all expected a little more color in their outfits too. Never trust H!P to use logic. (but after looking at the super bright NINE SMILE outfits, I'm kinda glad they didn't go crazy with color for these cases.)

On the index page for C-ute, that big image of the girls just looks rough.

There's only 5 members now, please find the time to take a decent group picture.

They don't all look equally horrible, but no one is really saving the picture. They support each other in awkwardness. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... umbsup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';/' />

Maimi looks like a bad version of Yossie. Its like they were trying to "Mr. Moonlight" her up then just stopped!

Nakki looks okay... Mai seems to be returning to her awkward stage for this photo set though.

Nice redundancy.

w/e though Maimi looks amazing man. I was pissed when she cut her hair, but she looks really good now. She looks a lot more interesting now. Offsetting her personality I guess.

I don't like what they did with Maimi's hair but it shows they are trying to do something at least. And those photos made me happy that Koharu is getting out of Hello! Project because Airi seems to be influenced by her poses and she already looked like Koharu for Zekkouchou... She'll not try to be a model or something, right? I'd die. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... ryalot.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':omgwtf:' /> And Saki! She's become so beautiful lately... She just needs to smile with her mouth less opened. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /ph34r.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Chisato and Mai are not that different from always; I still can't decide if I hate or love Chisa's hat.

That group shoot looks so lonely... Seeing only five photos will make me depressed for a while, I think.

The c/w is 生きようぜ!(Ikiyou ze!) and the covers are interesting: http://www.helloproject.com/discography/cute/s_016.html <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... isfied.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':nono:' />

Editing to be just, just now I noticed Airi is the center! <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... bounce.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':popper:' />

Continuing the bulletin: <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... >/rofl.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':cryalot:' /> there is already a preview for the c/w, Ikiyou ze!: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6PNy1zV29Eo The pv should be out this week, I believe... Not that °C-ute's PVs usually are something to look forward to and seeing them as a go-nin still depresses me.

I don't care who sings it, this entire single is just mediocre (by the standards I hold for C-ute songs.)

Making it "The Airi Show" just proves how they aren't trying right now, they're taking the easy way out.

I just listened to their best album and it was a reminder of how cool their songs could be, but lately... not so much
