H!P Design BLT Shirts for 2010

[Shoujo Q]

To kick off 2010 on a high note (and hopefully it doesn't fizzle off an die by the end of the year) the BLT magazine and Hello! Project are creating a book that will be released on January 22nd. But that's not all the magazine also had all 25 of the girls (That includes S/mileage) to design a special shirts for 2010 with a tiger theme.

A nifty fact is that on the back of the t-shirts are the girls number-nicknames. I personally think that's cool because I only knew a few of the girls H!P numbers but now I know all of them. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... iggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />



Oh and if you purchase Chisato and Mai's shirts and you stand together you'll make a heart.



I personally like Kanon's shirt the best.

These are sort of like those Christmas shirts that all the girls drew a while ago.



I know tigers are felines, but come on, girls! These pictures are kitties! Wada's has a menacing tail at least.



I love Ai's no-nonsense approach: "Tiger". Oh fine, she put a little face in the R (I think. But these low-res pictures are terrible). Junjun followed the same thought-process, but at least hers is more of a tiger-feeling than those cat faces. But Maasa gets the prize for the one that most represents a tiger. It's awesome in its simplicity. 寅.



I wonder if the girls chose their own numbers. I always thought of Mano as '27' since that was her Gatas number, but it seems Yajima stole it. Now she's the number that you call for information. Instead of saying, "What's the 411, yo?" We need to start the new trend: "What's the Mano, yo?"



The font works for numbers, but I guess it looks funky for letters. The '11C' and '11L' of the pandas forced me to pause. But I suppose it is C for Chun and L for Lin. Another "C" is used for Okai who is 'MC2' (which is awesome). Wait! Mai and Chisato both are MC2! After you put the hearts together you get energy, but which girl is mass and which one is the speed of light?

It would be nice if they came in more than one size.

I know I'm not the kind of person they want to be openly associated with, but preventing me from getting a shirt that fits isn't going to solve anything.

I like the new codenumber system, some are down right cryptic though.

Also, Why is Aika 112? 321 for Mitsui is such a better number than.. OH, it's for her birthday! Still, 321 is cooler. Risa's has an interesting double meaning: R21. R +"ni"+"i" as in her last name, or the fact that she's currently 21.

Agreed. Eri's tiger striped turtle is charming. ♥ That's the one I would probably want because it's so derpy.

I couldn't sleep so I decided I wanted to know what the numbers meant on these shirts. I'm not as smart as Pucchi who so easily knew Risa's, so I could only figure out the easy birthday ones. I'm sure I missed something obvious. Let's figure them all out!

前 = in front, so 1 as in 1st? 5 might be "DA", but how?

Saki Ogawa, SKC: I just checked that she is sometimes called "Sakichy" Sounds good enough.

God, I have no excuse for missing Shimizu, it's way too easy. But I knew you'd get the number ones. I always forget the 0 readings: I think rei (零) and ma are standard for wordplay.

The kanji has 5 strokes. Also 前 (mae) and 福 (fuku) both include the radical for "one". That's weird, but it's all I got.
