[TNX] Smileage - Otona ni Narutte Muzukashii

A radio preview is out for Smileage's (now in katakana and without the slash for whatever reason) 4th indies single. For those that are confused as to why they're still getting indies singles (I was xD) they don't officially graduate from the eggs and become full fledged H!P members until 3/27. This comes out 3/14, so it'll be their last indies single.

It doesn't grab me right away like some of their other singles, but it's not bad.

I really like it from a first listen. I'm not sure I'll ever like Ayaka's voice however.

Hopefully their PVs and songs will stay good after they debut.

It's not as immediately enjoyable as the two previous songs, but it isn't as boring as "aMa no Jaku". I have a feeling that a higher-quality version will reveal more excitement in the arrangement, and I suppose it's possible it might turn what sounds like creepy panting into something like whispering some actual words.

This is definitely pretty weird, but the rip is pretty good quality, I don't think we'll hear much more in the final quality of the song. Its good, but not as good as their previous songs. The PV for Suki-chan basically made that song into their best after a few views, everything seems just right. Its hard to say whether that or their 2nd single is better. This is just kinda weird, with how stocatto the verses are, it just sounds weird and I can't imagine how weird the dance will be. Hopefully they do a good job with the PV so this can keep the tradition of them having really enjoyable material.

Up Front is just the management company for the girls themselves, it doesn't have to do with who releases or distributes the media. Judging by the product code, I'm gonna say this is still a TNX release. It starts with TGCS, where most H!P releases by Zetima or Piccolo Town are ECPE or PKCE. And there's no reason to be sorry for a bump, that's what the thread is here for.

I think the switch may actually have been made. TGCS is the UF code for indies releases such as C-ute's and Mano's early releases and Melon Kinenbi's recent releases. The label is simply "Up-Front Works". S/mileage's TNX releases were GFCG.

That's weird if they've actually established a sub label just for indies. And if they did, why weren't S/mileage's earlier releases on that label. Even if it's not TNX, it's not a major H!P release yet. And I hope the song gets better with higher quality.

Weird would be if anything from H!P made sense all the times... But yeah, it is weird. At least, it seems they are back to their places. I always feared they would end up turning into THE Possible.

And now Yuuka and Kanon got Reina's radio program. Not a good change, in my opinion, even if I prefer Kanon over Reina, but that should give both even more experience!



By the way, Otona ni Narutte Muzukashii!!! cover is out and it is really strange...

Oh and lots of Kanon makes me a Happy PQ. :DDD She's really pulling a Kago in this PV, like I'm getting some serious flashbacks here watching her. D:



I like Saki's hair better in the PV with the little snow cap on, it doesn't make her face so harsh to look at.



Yuki's yeah, yeahs are really weak in this song like she was just reading along and didn't put any real emotion into it.

That PV is awesome! The quality has really been going up in my opinion. I mean, Suki-chan's was actually what made so into that single so cute it was. And I agree about Kanon and Kago, I didn't use to see their similarity but lately it is like they are investing on that, even putting Kanon in Minimoni. Well, i would complain if she weren't but really, there are some photos I can only presume they told her "Now make an Aibon face". <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... >/sigh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':sigh:' />



Back to the topic, it's a really nice PV and a nice timing for a good video as a lot of wotas will start paying attention to them now they are to debut. I also hope the quality doesn't drop with their debut. It doesn't usually happen, at least not right after. I remember liking Sakura Chirari's production and Otome no Inori's, even though I didn't like °C-ute's song right away, I even grew to love it. It seems like Otona Ni Narutte Muzukashii will be used for the ED theme of the anime Hime Chen! Otogi Chikku Idol Lilpri. I think this is really cool because if the anime becomes popular like Shugo Chara, Smileage will get a greater promotion kind of like Buono except maybe better because of the 10,000 smiles thing <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':nosebleed:' />
