Yossi's solo version of Hare Ame Nochi Suki. So pretty.
HOLD UP! I'M A GEEK THE BIG PARADOX!
Re: What are you listening to right now ?
I've never heard that song,
I'm not surprised. Music of that type is pretty much confined to northern Mexico and Texas. Maybe some parts of California/Arizona/New Mexico...Tejano is nearly dead now, I think, the radio stations play norteno and reggaeton (which is spanish for shit music, btw).
but it reminds me of Monkey Island.
And that is quite a nice song from a great game.

Great song!
I've been listening to a lot of LeeSsang lately.

Shota Shimizu & Miliyah Kato - Forever Love
A very cute song. With lyrics like: 'i love you.' i want to say it so many times. it's heartbreaking now, but i'm waiting for you.
Hmm.. couldn't get any cuter.

I don't like the new (which is basically any of their stuff after the second album I think) capsule much, but the first album (haven't really heard the second yet) is soooo good !
It's the perfect mixture between electro, pop, soothing melodies and a very nice singing voice.

Muse (just ?) released a really awesome song:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bWTuKd2lTo4&fmt=18
I only like Knights of Cydonia before, but this song is really good.
And another one:
The Drums - Forever & Ever (fuck that last word)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kkk8kUGWYZA
It reminds me of another song, but I can't quite put my finger on it which one it is. Sounds beautiful though.

Forgot that someone gave me a nice little iTunes gift card for Christmas in July elsewhere on the web, so I got a nice little haul, but the big finding today was Simian Mobile Disco's "Temporary Pleasure" and other assorted tracks. I bought their "Attack Sustain Delay Release" CD a few weeks ago and I found out my favorite song, "Hustler" or as my friend calls it "Sticky Finger Record Wednesday," has a couple of remixes out! "I'mma hustler baby. That's what my daddys made me... Go to the record store and put it in my clothes and walk past that record man; gotta have that sticky hands when ya ass is broke, when ya ass is broke like me. Like, like me." <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... #>/wub.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
Also, I bought Shatter on Steam on the recommendation that the music is great (it is!) and I grabbed the OST from BandCamp. It's pretty good music for a Breakout game.

Re: What are you listening to right now ?
Put in some serious face-time with Rock and 'n' Roll Circus (Zakizakizaki). Really a waste of time. Probably three good songs; the rest of the album is interludes and generic rock ballads. My picks: microphone (eh), You Were... (best IMO), Sunrise LIA (okay, I kinda like the chorus).
Also giving May J.'s Shiny Sky single some serious consideration. It's really nice dance pop. You may remember May J. from last year's hit song "FAMILY feat. Clench&Blistah, Diggy-Mo, DJ KAORI and your mom." Well, miss May J. is back with kinda generic, but cute poppy songs. Think Crystal Kay's "Shining" single. It's a nice fresh filler until we get some more Perfume material (seriously! They're releasing slower than Namie Amuro!)(May J is not Yasutaka Nakata related).
I also found a gem in my Simian Mobile Disco discovery the other day. I found the original "Never Be Alone" that Justice cut up and became famous with. It's definitely a change of pace from We Are Your Friends.

(Double the pleasure, double the fun!)
I've been ambivalent to Fantastic Plastic Machine for a very long time, but I've started listening (and enjoying) both his older and newer works. I enjoy his latest album FPM (2009) because it's much more modern. His older works are very house-y/bossa nova-y (think mid-old MONDO GROSSO), but his newer works have been very electro-y (think Aishiteru... that he produced for Suzuki Ami). God, I miss ravex...

I'm gonna go fangirly on everyone now:
Arashi---Monster........... they've let me down a bit since Truth so I really didn't want to listen to anything new from them; but I saw the PV and the dance moves to Monster and listened to the entire song instead of the clip on CDTV and I've been hooked since. That and Ohno's voice really stands out in this song. His voice is like butter!!

I've been listening to Kalafina/FictionJunction nonstop this past week, mostly live tracks. I cannot get enough of these girls. I think if I ever saw them live I'd melt into a tub of butter from sheer stimulation. The only other artist I've ever gotten such nonstop chills was Takui Nakajima (my cd is not in yet waaaah). Yuki Kajiura is an absolute goddess, my god. Nothing stimulates my creative side like her music. My stuff always turns out better when I play her music while working

I've been listening to a lot of 70s and 80s TV show theme songs. The 70s through the 80s was the absolute best era for such music.

Despite the cover being shitty and hipster-ish, the song itself is pretty good. Which is rather rare for austrian electro music.

I am very well aware, that I'm a bit late with realizing Franz Ferdinand has a few very good songs.

The Mountain Goats' "No Children"
You may know this as the song from the season premiere of Moral Orel's final season, but it is an amazing song for the deep-seeded hatred expressed in both that episode and the remaining parts of the season. There's a chilling feeling to hear "And I hope you die | I hope we both die." It is an expertly perfect example of amazing songs that are just too goddamn short for their own good but would absolutely be wrecked if it were longer.

FRICKING LOVE KALAFINA. <3 I need more of the actual FictionJunction music though. PM me some suggestions Meron? c:
I think the only songs by Kalafina I don't have are a couple of c/ws. Got both albums and every A-side. "progressive" is still my favourite out of everything.
I have Kevin Rudolf's "In the City" right now. It's amusing. I was so excited for his second CD, and I got it, and I listened to it nonstop for like three days, and now I barely listen to any of the songs. I guess that shows how much I liked it.

Did we have a thread like this? Anyhow, just curious, since we don't just listen to H!P.
These are the top few songs on my mp3 player and I listen to this while commuting or running errands at school.
1. GLAY - Let Me Be
2. Mano Erina - Haru no Arashi
3. GLAY - Layla
4. Nana film OST - Hachi's Theme
5. David Bowie - Oh You Pretty Things
6. MUSE - Hysteria
7. MUSE - Plug In Baby
8. MUSE - Bliss
9. Mano Erina - Otome no Inori
Mano...is kind of out of place I have a different playlist for the gym though that is all idol music.

There was a similar thread in the music forum.
Oh my god we could go on all day about what I have on my playlist. 3,000 songs and going.
I'll dick through it later and list some. I ended up having to reformat it because something corrupted (thanks Windows Media Player), so all my playcounts are gone. :c
