Exactly how I expected it to be. I like it a lot. It's not really catchy but it sounds really nice! It's been such a while since we got an upbeat, happy single from MM.



Hopefully the PV is nice.

This preview gives me a seishun erection. It's a pretty good song & I definitely welcome an upbeat, non-disco single for a change. I'll probably like it more once I get a chance to drive along the coast on a sunny day. Risa looks so incredibly odd in that hat, it took me a few moments to figure out just exactly who it was.

Some parts of this reminds me of Shoganai Yume Oibito. Not sure if I like that o_O. Vocals are as expected and the song is generic. I want something catching AND fun, is that too much to ask for anymore as a fan?

It sounds pleasant. Its staying power at this point depends on whether or not the PV is interesting.

Am I the only one who doesn't see how Onna ga Medatte Naze Ikenai or Kimagure Princess are emo songs? OGMNI is a girl power, high paced synth-y rock song, Kimagure is a goofy "Nnn, me so sexy!" song with a Cossack dance, and butt rubbing. This does not seem sad or emo to me, though the Naichau/SHouganai/Nanchatte run was probably the most emo since Summer Night Town/Daite HOLD ON ME/Memory Seishun no Hikari. Actually, those are the only times MM has released more than two unhappy songs in a row! Why do I know this off the top of my head.



Anyway...I don't like it <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... #>/sad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':lol:' /> actually, it's the first single preview I haven't liked at least a little bit in quite some time now. I'm getting SERIOUS album filler feelings from this. It makes me think of songs like Namidacchi and Sono Deai no Tame ni that I generally skip on albums, because I've never been a fan of upbeat ballad-y songs.

I kind of like it. The violin parts however, reminded me of a faster version of Nanchatte Renai. But despite that I could totally imagine this song with a great PV so I really hope that the PV will be promising and make me like the song more.

No one said they were sad or "emo". That doesn't mean they're necessarily "happy". At least not in the same way Seishun Collection is. It's still a type of song we haven't had since Mikan.

It's...okay. I can't say I'm blown away or surprised. Frankly, it's exactly the epitome of Generic Musume. It's a very safe song. Milk, but not a milk shake. Cream, but not ice cream.

The songs are upbeat, but not...bright and happy? I think what people are saying is that want to hear some happy sunshine fun Musume, ala Koko ni Iruzee, Go Girl, or Mikan. Onna ga Medatte and Kimagure certainly weren't 'emo' or slow tempo, but they were more mature/sexy rather than cute/fun/sunshine. That being said...

Agreed. It's not sticking with me at all, and like Ang said it sounds exactly like a lot of the album tracks that bored me from 10 My Me.

Well, don't get me wrong. I love the more mature direction Momusu is taking. After all, somewhere around here is a topic floating around talking about how the average age of the group is twenty, so silly little songs may not be the direction the group wants to go, or the way Tsunku wants to go with them.

But at the same time, the fans know Momusu as bright, happy, silly.



It's a catch twenty-two.



After thinking about it, you know what it really reminds me of? "Genki Pikapikka."

You know what my least favourite song on 10 MY ME was?



I think it's just safe to say that Berryz Koubou is going to be the new flagship? XD They've had great single after great singles after great single as of late.

I'm getting both Nanchatte Renai and Shouganai Yume Oibito, I wasn't to sure as I gave it the first listen but I found myself tapping my foot to it. I think I am going to like it and a nice summery sound is always welcome.

As to the song! It's got a nice little beat to keep it from being COMPLETELY generic (something about the rhythm of the chorus sounds anthem-y to me? Like something you'd sing with an acoustic guitar around a campfire swaying back and forth? Maybe a little like Aruiteru but not really?) but... would it hurt Tsunku to mix up the instrumentals a little? Yes, probably. Final conclusion: yawn.



$10 internet dollars the MV has a scene with balloons. Or girls holding hands laughing. Or playing at the beach. Or playing at the beach with balloons holding hands laughing!

I know people want more Mikan/Koko ni Iruzee/anthem-y hyper songs, but my love for those kinds of songs has totally DIED, though I'm not sure why. This song also reminds me strongly of Genki PikaPika, a song I always skip on it's respective album. This song just sounds like a total rehashing of a ton of recent MM songs to me - the same synth and violins, similar melody, same beat... I don't know, but even if I liked these types of songs, I don't think I could find a way to like this one.

It's a nice song but seriously, the Shouganai Yume Oibito sound needs to die we had it for four singles already and it is time to do something new and original. That's probably why sales are slipping.

Me three! Mikan was so cheerful and uplifting. And Bonkyu was on it, so for me, it's like... a perfect single. (Or the closest we're going to get in this modern day and age of MM)



edit: And on the subject of sales, hasn't Onna ga Medatte Naze Ikenai sold less?
