Italy bounced. Japan wins and advances! Japan advancing must be especially sweet for their coach Okada. He's been bashed thoroughly in the Japanese media, many predicting that they'd finish bottom of the group, wouldn't score, etc. Today they destroyed Denmark!

Wow, Japan's game yesterday was amazing! But I can't believe I woke up early to watch Brazil today... Portugal deserved to score in my opinion! Though the double yellow card in the first part was kinda worth watching, I couldn't stop laughing at both everyone's faces.

I'm really sad. I actually cried. Ghana sucks man. They play good, but the amount of time they wasted was bullshit. You knocked yourself over, get up and stop being an asshole.

America's bad defense plus Ghana's tough (sometimes way too rough) defense were the culprits. Although they were fouling like crazy, Ghana's defense was all over the ball to stop America's offense.



Should've gone to PKs though. What a terrible goal in overtime.

Yeah, I don't know much about soccer and didn't watch very close until extra time, but Ghana's defense was fucking rock solid. It looked like Ghana had like, twice as many players or something. God damn. Goalkeeper punching the shit out of that ball.



Also there was a Ghanaian fan with tribal face paint on making weird faces throughout the game and I hope that there are gifs of him soon. That is all.

Yeah, I didn't mean to take away from the striker's effort, but a better defense just doesn't let that happen. Like, Ghana's defense wouldn't have let it happen. So, yeah, "terrible" as in, "ugh, how could you do that to me, USA" not terrible as in "man, that English keeper really should have stopped that."

As expected, Germany DEMOLISH England. Disallowed goal aside (which would have made it 4-2, or if you REALLY want to stretch it 4-3), Germany was just better.

Some BS calls were there, but at least we got the tying PK. I thought they got over their BS "goal in the first fifteen" curse last game. I knew the better teams would rip apart our lack of defense, but the coach made some stupid decisions too. Findley starting? The only thing he has is speed, which means jack shit if he can't do anything with the ball. Bocanegra should've started, Altidore should've been benched in favor of Buddle...And he wastes a sub early in the game. You could tell by overtime we were out of gas. If we play like we play second half at first half then it would've been a different story. As it was, it was like watching a bunch of kids play grown ups. We were outclassed completely.



HA HA HA I knew England would lose.



Argentina had the BS goal, but they still would've won 2-1 without it. I like Messi, I'll cheer for them until they're kicked out, then it's back to Brazil.
