Anything with a ~ means some sort of ambient/speaking track. After looking at song lengths, those are mostly under 2 minutes.

She's pretty cool, I think of her somewhat like a more electronic Otsuka Ai. Especially after listening to Ai ni Ikuyo.

She writes all of her lyrics and arranges a few tracks too. My favorite is Swimming Dancing, the PV is great. It's like Vogue but her poses bring the apocalypse.

A few sites link her to the Square Enix game [The World Ends with You] but it'd not the same SAWA. TWISTER (effects aside, the accent seems like a different person) It's this Sawa. Oddly enough, both were born in 1983. SAWA on 11/6 & Sawa(rock group girl) on 2/15. The confusion was over the fact that the lead singer is named Sawa, and the group is named after her, but in capital letters.

I skipped through a few of her songs on yt, but I'm not feeling her vibe...

The songs are too tame.

I really like her voice and style. Some of her songs are good too.

So I just returned from Sa-world

I was greeted by the lovely hostess (via loudspeaker, of course)

The Opening Ceremony was basically SAWA introducing her theme park, and she does so entirely in English.

First, there was the classic MerryGoRound ride. It's a very nice way to begin, it gets you pumped for the rest of the park. My favorite part was when everyone clapped during certain verses. Next, I tried the Stars attraction. It was very surreal and I felt as though I was traveling through the universe. Not so much a drifting feeling, more like dancing through the atmosphere. To travel back, I took the park shuttle known as the NightBus. It keeps up the dance groove feeling, but this felt much more like floating, but was I ...just dreaming?

When I arrived to the next destination, I saw a sign that said Chocolate Zone, and who was sitting there, SAWA herself, I didn't want to interrupt, so I sat still and listened. She was writing and composing her Glico song, Throw him away! I tried a candy bar and it was very sweet and poppy. The wrapper sort of reminded me of a Pizzicato 5 promo design. Stylish and a bit retro, there were so ManyColors . It wasn't overwhelming, just sweet like the candy. One weird thing about it, there was an excessive amount of katakana. SAWA comes back, somewhat like the opening ceremony, with an intro brass section, and then some 60ish synth. She definitely enjoys the retro vs futuristic themes. Oddly, her dress seemed like she was going to an Xmas party. It screamed "I'm a flower child" more than "I'm a president" She spoke of rainy days, but it was very uplifting. After this she has a little MC with the crowd. She asks us if we're having fun, everyone goes wild, but the fun is cut short.

Suddenly, it starts raining like crazy. (Hi Irony) I don't mean, ok, we'll duck in the arcade for a few minutes and then head over to bumper cars. I mean, get the fuck out of there! SAWA more or less said to us, kiss your ass goodbye. She declared it a Danger Zone. We almost didn't make it out of that area in one piece. The destruction was almost beautiful in a weird way. Like the doomsday voguing seen in her PV, Swimming Dancing. I freaking love that song. There's a certain elegance along with the threat of harm. Anyway, it's Friday Night. Once the rain ended, everyone felt compelled to dance. Da-Da-Dadada, SAWA kind of does R&B singer impersonations, it's cute, and gets the crowd going some more. Planet-T is an attraction that kind of made me think of Stars from earlier, but in a more danceable presentation. Less spacey, but very robotic and futuristic. So much technology went into this bright display. I'm really enjoying Sa-World. Next SAWA has a hilarious performance called Eat It All , basically involving eating a huge plate of sweets in 1 minute and 56 seconds. It was clearly a special effect, but worth seeing just the same. Next are two of her most popular attractions, I Can Fly & あいにいくよ. Both pretty cool, but I prefer the 2nd. I Can Fly is fun, but a bit too simple in comparison. The night is almost over, what memories I'll have of this place. Things that most could only Dream about.... I'm feeling kind of dizzy after all of this action. I feel like I'm back on the 1st ride, but I'm just walking around. I think I should head home soon. SAWA tells us goodbye, says Thank you for visiting and makes a few more jokes, like telling us to bring her some chocolate next time. She probably gets sick of Glico, so I think I'll try Meiji. . .

Who the hell is Suzy Brown?

I have a coupon for one free admission.

You can redeem it in the audio section. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... tongue.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

This is awesome. My current favorite Jpop record. Anyone have her earlier EPs?

I have the first 4 EPs she did (I think there's a 5th, not sure), but I got bored waiting around for an album. I'll have to grab this!

I'm sad "World Wide Tea Party" isn't on this, though. That's my favorite track by her, definitely. Such a funny mix of dubstep/wobble and cuteness.

EDIT: I love the album, but I'm glad I installed "foo_skip". Those interlude tracks are embarrassing as hell to listen to.

I'm glad you enjoyed the album.

Yeah, I love World Wide Tea Party, either version actually.

I guess the way it's sung is what appeals to me most.

Haha, I just found an 8 minute version that makes the original version transition into the remix.

Also, there's a short translated video of SAWA commenting about the album.
