I like it a lot already, but it's definitely something that would become better with the MV and performances and so on (probably). It's definitely unusual though. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':eekrun:' /> Although to be fair, I think Rainbow and Secret (and in some sense After School too) set in this sort of retro trend, so it's not entirely unfamiliar territory. Still, I'm very curious how this will do.



I see this as a continuation of the "new sound" concept from Oh!, where they started using very unusual song structures. Run Devil Run was sort of a departure, but the rest of the stuff on Oh is similar in that sense, and this is taking it one step further.

I like all the tracks, although Mistake is somewhat bland (cool adlibs though). Wake Up is my favorite of the b-sides. The only thing I can complain about is that they sort of relapsed into their regular sound for these tracks. Not that they necessarily had to stick to the retro theme for the whole mini-album, but I wouldn't have minded if they had.

Hurray for Siwon! Definitely a cool video, and the dance looks pretty good too. I sort of expected more of a story, but that isn't really SM's style, and this doesn't distract as much from the music. I still have trouble with that blonde wig, but other than that everybody looks amazing.



I think this might be the first time I actually like every song on one of these mini-albums, too.

I'd have to agree with you. Sorta... maybe most about Tiffany's wig, it looks ratty.



I can't get over the high fufufu part, it just kinda comes out of nowhere and then sneaks back in. Sorta like a spy I guess, but that's cheesy. ;D

Agreed on that one. I think one line of that "fu fu fu"-sounding part per chorus would've been fine, but three of them in succession is a bit overkill.



I'm very fangirl over SNSD, because all I can think is that the girls are perfection in there with their outfits and dancing.

PV definitely adds to an otherwise not-as-fun song. It doesn't stick with you as much as "Gee" or "Oh," or even "Genie." I liked the dresses, though, and I dig the dance.

Hoot made it's debut on Music Bank. Not the best live performance, but I'm sure it'll be awesome once they wind down promotion for this single and move onto something else.

It's nice to be able to see the dance properly, it seems really good. Taeyeon's especially good in this song, and easily pulls it off live as well. Guess she made a full recovery! It seems like the song is very comfortable to sing, I didn't really hear anybody struggling with anything.



I'm still amazed Sooyoung got a solo line. I wonder if that's a reward for the Japan trip?

Still loving this song, even if the MV was disappointing. Some ridiculous rumor is going around that this comeback was rushed and unplanned. It's probably entirely baseless, but the MV does seem a little.... I don't know. At least this way they'd have an excuse.
