I think both songs have parts in them that got in just to push CL as a rapper, which is annoying. Especially in CBH.

Happy isn't catchy or interesting.

CBH starts out cool, then disappoints with a generic sounding refrain and enters a boring CL rap part.

The MV for it obviously had quite a budget. And while the effects and style are cool, playing EVERYTHING in slow-motion does not automatically make everything cool.

CBH easily has the highest budget of any music video I've seen in a looooong time.  Incredibly executed.  Man H!P seems so low brow after seeing that haha.

I love CL's solo. The hangul says it's 멘붕 which is "Menbung." According to my friend Jana it means "mental breakdown" which is what MTBD probably stands for.

In just 10 minutes CL went from being my least favorite to my favorite 2NE1 member. I can't stand any of her songs but she OWNED that stage.

Minzy is leaving the group and apparently they still plan to have a comeback in summer.
My guess is that Minzy did the right thing and nothing fruitful will ever again happen with 2NE1.

YG has disbanded 2NE1.
I really don't have a reason to feel sad or anything because I was so sure they would never release any songs again, but you know, it gets sad when it's official.
And if you don't follow the Park Geunhye scandal, some weeks ago YG was linked to Choi Soonshil so because of that Knetz resurrected (as if it was ever dead in the first place) Bom's drug scandal leaving comments on the subject on random articles all over the place to get some feedback and I don't know maybe YG decided this now because of that.

What I read from a friend who googled about this because he didn't believe me, that site said it was YG who offered a contract renewal for CL and Dara but chose to not renew Bom's contract.
No idea if that's what happened cause I didn't even check it out

I haven't seen a translation that states she wasn't offered renewal but it wouldn't be surprising if the company wanted to get rid of her. There was a popular singer in Korea who had a scandal she never recovered from despite it being proven the person in question wasn't her. Bom is actually guilty no matter how trivial it seems to us and is seen very poorly because of it. I don't know that they would have promoted her heavily as a soloist even if they had kept her. Her singing is kind of rough and YGE always lets their non-idol groups down.

CL said that song was composed by her I think, months ago when Minzy left. It was supposed to be a farewell message to Minzy released on CL's solo album, but CL said they later changed the lyrics a little bit for it to be also a goodbye to the fans.
Funny enough, Minzy stated that she didn't even know about the song until she saw it on the news, which tells us they didn't even attempt to get her on the song.
