So just to separate it from the 9th gen madness, I thought about making a thread. But it's still vague for now. Maybe there will be more info later. Kikkawa seems to be getting a solo career as seemed likely by her opening the tour. For now it seems her name is stylized as



Kikkawa You



The reports say she sang an original song and this fan site was opened http://www.kikkawa-you.jp/ The site is clearly made for cellphones and is very barebones and just a small profile and her event schedule. I didn't bother joining, but it's a little thing one can join by putting in one's email.

And the real recording better be a whole lot better than the "preview," because all I heard a a very similar voice to Erina's whining along to music.

I don't know why someone would say she sounds worse than Mano - she's leagues ahead of where Mano was when Mano debuted. She sounds a little nervous here, though. She's usually a bit better. Idk, I Stan'd for this chick even in the 9th gen auditions, so this pleases me immensely.

I don't see why it wouldn't. It sounds exactly what some Japanese suit thought was cool in the marketing room, "Let's call her the English word 'You', it's so hip!" I think they're trying to brand her with that as her romaji name.



Her only good song so far has been the solo version of "Anataboshi". She can sing better than Mano certainly, but her timbre isn't very exciting. They have to give her good songs though. But it's nice, the Mano Hate Hatena-ers came back out for this one when the topic has nothing to do with her. Where've you guys been? I missed you last year.

I would have liked Kikkawa in MM rather than as another bland soloist to add to HP/NGPs growing faceless soloist masses, but she seems promising if they choose to market her a little differently than the traditional route they've been going. I really like Yuu.
