I've been in love with this band for a while, but the indies stuff is so hard to find. -until recently when it was added to the US iTunes store.
They released 2 official singles last year, Superstar and Charisma Hero.
They're associated with a few bands that have played in the US already, like Red Bacteria Vacuum & Tsushimamire. This is a good sign.
I couldn't have said it better, so I didn't. Who the Bitch is a 3-piece band made up of vocalist/guitarist ehi, vocalist/bassist Nao and drummer yatch. Formed in February 2005, their sound incorporates elements of punk, alternative and garage to create what they call “junk rock.”
If you like Chatmonchy, but wish they (still) had a male drummer, your day has come.
Well, another difference is the guitarist and bassist both sing in most songs. The way they play off each other is beautiful. You won't hear much more than a shout from the drummer, though.
Aside from being really catchy, I love their energy, the use of raspy vocals, R-rolling and occasionally high vocal lines. Plus the 60s and 70s inspiration.
My favorite release is Miracle Fight de GO GO GO! Each song shows a slightly different cool side of the band.
Hi! Jack! is the loud shouty fun song.
My Style has a very catchy Chatmonchy-like chorus that comes out of the blue.
Sadistic has an interesting chorus, but it's less dynamic than the other tracks.
Missile sounds like it would be used in Jet Set Radio.
Liberal is another loud fun song, with a twist ..and R-rolling!
For now, in the audio thread, I'll be sharing the 2 indies mini albums.
