It seems to be the same to me. In the Chinese one, she basically says, why did an earthquake have to happen, I was scared to log on to the blog to find bad news, but I'm glad staff and members are safe. We might feel like we can't do much, but if we put all our strength together, we can. I wish everyone happiness in the future. And I just want everyone to at least have safety.

I'm about to head off to a trial for work, so I might be pulling some insane hours for the next three weeks and not have much time for translating. With the current situation in Japan, understandably Sayu has been blogging much less (and Kikka has yet to blog at all), but if she picks up again I may have to ask for some help. Hello again! I'm back from my trip!



Berryz didn't post anything to their Serend while I was out, but I did update a couple posts Saki made. I can also start doing that half of Reina's posts again too, although her updates are still sporadic as well...



I'm also thinking of doing some or more of C-ute's, as I see they have some Serend and Gree blogs. Would it be too much work to get them added into the list of girls? I suppose there'd have to be a new icon and everything since I don't think we have anyone from C-ute yet...



Just thought it might help contribute even more toward getting a good vault of translations here. I'd try my best to keep up at least with Airi's, though I'd have to explore more of who has blogs and how often they update. I know Maimi has her Gree that if she doesn't update too often, I could likely pick up too.

I was tweaking with the cache the other day, but all the old pages should be deleted when a new post is made. Let me know if there's a problem with this again guys! You can only see if there's something wrong if you log out AND use another browser.

I think there's been a misunderstanding. XD I was trying to say that I noticed you have been posting old posts of Junjun (ex. from September).



I noticed that the earlier translation for Aichan was January 4th, and on my other blog I started translating Aichan's blog right when she started blogging (though I lost momentum mid-way through October and didn't pick up again until a few months later). So I was wondering if I should bring those translations over here (~70 posts in Sept & ~70 posts from October). I don't know how uploading them would work with regards to the custom fields. I also have a few of Risa's early blog translations (from before all her emoticons drove me nuts - only 41 posts in total for Risa, mostly from May 2010).



Sadly, I don't know Chinese, and I haven't translated for Junjun. I wish I could help you. XD

Of course you can upload them. But I think a part of it has to be done manually. So would you be OK then if it didn't show up on the front page as an update? We can, of course, put a news snippet though.



But the important thing is that the posts won't show up in Ai's category because it's sorted by the custom field post-date. So we'd have to add that manually to every post, I think. Since it's just one time, I guess it's not a big deal? So there was a message posted to C-ute's Gree that they would resume posting today, and Maimi did post a big post of thoughts on the earthquake. However, that was translated (I feel) very well on Maimilog, so I think due to the length I'll leave it at that for now.



Reina has also seemed to resume posting more or less like usual, as she's posted 3 updates so far today which are full of pictures and her normal random chats (the most recent one about her love for Jackie Chan, for example...). Ai also seems to be posting in a bit more relaxed way, if not as much as usual. Unfortunately no more activity on the Berryz blogs though...



I wonder if this blog furlough is finally coming to a bit of a close? It's been exactly 2 weeks now since the disaster occurred... so the timing would make sense. Hopefully we'll have more work to do from now on! :D

as "I have the power of my friends"? I'm not quite sure how to take べき in that sentence.

I thought of it as like "Friends are definitely something you should have!" べき is mostly like "should", but in a more... imperative sense? Like you're not brooking much room for argument. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':lol:' /> Like, if you don't do it, you'll regret it... which makes sense considering the rest of her post where Aika shows concern for her.

Actually, thinking of it in how we'd say it more naturally in English, maybe something like "It's good to have friends!"?

That's not quite as literal, but I think expresses the same sentiment while sounding more natural.
