I was at the grocery store this morning and as I was about to walk out, Judas started playing and it took every bit of effort not to drop my groceries and dance like a maniac. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... >/rofl.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

That song is not getting any radioplay here. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... >/rofl.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> I thought we might be too conservative for it, but I never imagined I was right. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... >/rofl.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Oh, and hearing my coworkers talk about it was hilarious. People getting genuinely offended by popstars is something I don't think I'll tire of.

But since it's on FOX, it's probably not true.

So umm... necrobump ahoy.

E! has the premier of her new video, Marry the Night.

I want non-pretentious Gaga back. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... ryalot.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':cryalot:' /> I can't tell if her monologue is supposed to be taken seriously or tongue in cheek. Because, Morphine Princess, I had my bedazzler and wrecked havock on some old denim to get my life back in track too. When things are set to music it's nice. Next time she does this she should STFU and let her music do the talking. I thought Marry the Night was one of the better songs off her album, so I don't have a problem with the song. I'm not too fond of the video as a whole. I hate to have such a negative necrobump. I like the song. The MV sucks.

Kanye did the whole arthouse video thing better. I cannot believe I just said that. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... ryalot.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':cryalot:' />

I just watched Kohaku Uta Gassen (the Dec. 31 music marathon) and Lady Gaga does a couple of songs in a studio segment done in New York especially for Japan. It's the longest I've ever been exposed to Lady G and she seems to have put a lot of thought and work into the number. She does one song solo at the piano and then moves out into a set where she's joined by a troupe of back-up dancers. Not bad. She follows Jackie Chan's message to Japan in Mandarin.

So it was good? I didn't get a chance to see it and I heard it was more of a standard Gaga performance.

I've only seen one music video of hers before this, so I wouldn't know what's standard or not. The fact that she did anything impressed me.

She was actually AT the Music Station Super Live as the final act. She's been on Music Station a few times before as well as SMAPxSMAP. She visits Japan quite a lot.

She likes to impress. Too bad she danced, though. She's so much better live when she's not dancing.
