Concert preview of "Only You"



There's something oddly familiar about the song, but I can't figure it out. It sounds kind of messy at parts since they're singing some of the lines really fast.



Weirdly enough, I like it.

I agree with the song poster saying Risa sounds great. She really does.



According to posters, there's a lot of Riho in it, and if she's there she must sound exactly like Reina, which I can't say is necessarily a good thing (that's if it's even Riho. Seriously sounds like Reina to me). I hate the half-spoken verses, though. Those sounds horrible.



The guitar is nice, Risa sounds nice, but other than that I'm not feeling this at all. Maybe an HQ version will be better, but so far I'm pretty unimpressed. Sounds like a reject 10 My Me track.

It sorta sounds like a mash up of three different songs, and it feels like it could be a Gundam theme or something. I don't know yet, but I think it has potential.

Definitely picking up hints of other songs but can't think what yet. I'll wait for the HQ version before I make my mind up for sure but it sounds like a huge improvement on the previous disaster single.

As for listening to the song, I did and I found it to be very long. D: I was listening to it as I was reading something and noticed after I was halfway through something else that the song was still playing. I hear a lot of Reina.

This is like a return to mature Musume AiReina featuring Gaki (but no Eri this time...) fest. I can hear Aika and Sayu have quite a few lines in the verses though.

I LOVE IT! I love the non chorus parts the most. I detect a mixture of Nanchatte Renai, Aisaresugiru Koto wa Ni yo no with a little hint of C/C Cinderella Complex. Anyway, I don't know why some people are getting a little upset about the line distrubution. Mizuki, Erina, & Kanon are probably going to be in the group for the next 4-10 years so they'll have plenty of time to shine compared to Ai having less than 7 months and Reina having a year or two before she goes as well. Plus it's a bit of a step up from the previous singles being 4 leads + Sayumi ad-libbing.

When you have the money to go to more then one concert, you have time to do things like count lines, spot the differences and do other slightly creepy things I can't think of right now.

If no one else was going to do anything, they might as well have released this as a HIGH-KING single and added Riho as their newest member. The other H-K girls would get chorus and whatever is left. Actually, this song is much more in the direction of Aa!, since they did Yume to Genjitsu.

Listened to a mic rip. Mizuki and Kanon have two little lines each, but they're basically blink and miss them lines so I'm not surprised people didn't mention them. They're those half-speaking lines. That are still annoying.



Also I predict that over time, Kanon's singing voice is going to be a lot like Risa's.

I love the song but sounds a billion times better live. I don't like how they autotuned Risa though.

The speak-sing parts don't sound any better in the rip. I hate that they autotuned Risa too, especially so heavily. Maybe it's the quality of the rip, but a lot of the vocals sound drowned out and muffled. It's disappointing to hear them go back so quickly to being the Ai and Reina show. The brief preformance clip I saw of this made them seem even more like Ai and Reina feat. Backup Singers, with the two of them standing in front and the rest lined up way behind them. I think I hear someone different in the chorus towards the end, is that Riho?



So far this is very meh =/ I like the chorus, but the rest is a jumble. Maybe seeing it preformed or the PV will make me like it more.

I like it and don't like it at the same time. I like the general sound of it. I don't like autotune and the chaotic composition. A number of MM songs recently seem disjointed like that, or is it just me?



And fuck the autotune bandwagon SO HARD, seriously. But if THIS is what it takes to make MM sound "modern" and "hip" to the mainstream ears, then it may just be something we have to suffer.

This is like some sort of Mechanized Shouganai Yume Oibito. It's interesting that the part that would generally be the chorus lines are just Reina & Ai solos. Really the only group lines are in between the weirdly emphasized syllable parts. I think it's funny that the 2nd time around, if it wasn't edgy enough, they add more impact to the guitar.



It's strange but I find that weird moments so much more interesting than the Reina & Ai normal lines. The instrumental track will probably make this seem like an entirely different song, since so much of the singing shapes the sound.

I have to agree though, it does sound better live, that...power...from the live performance isn't there (probably because Risa is autotuned).

I bet they autotuned Risa because they autotuned Sayu.

I hope the PV is good. I can imagine a really good PV, with good lighting and contrasts and like CGI stuff (cool, big CGI stuff), and....but it probably won't be the fantastic PV I just imagined.

Is this supposed to be dubstep? If so, they should have gone all the way and given Sayu and the otter bad singers the lead, like a new Namida Tomaranai Hokago. This is awkward.

The autotune fucks it up big time. I mean why, it's a pointless as the high-pitched verses on Kimagura Princess, also hate the staccato bits.



It just doesn't flow, as aine says it's chaotic.



I can see what Pucchi mo means about Shouganai Yume Oibito, I'm getting flashes of it too.



I don't know what's happening to Tsunku, that's two very weak singles, Seishun Collection and Onna to Otoko no Lullaby Game, followed by two bloody awful ones, Maji Desu ka Ska! and now this.

Well, I was shocked completely with the autotune of Risa. I just really hope it's overpowered due to the not-so-good quality. It's a shame it's back to the old way of songs with Ai and Reina lead. I hope the PV is very interesting to make it better.

Instead of hating the autotune part, try to look at it as a contrast to when the "real" voices come back in with the chorus.



When you look at it like that, it works well.



The part I'm not that happy about is that it seems very Ai & Reina heavy, even though Riho got 14 lines apparently...
