Shoko is one of the original blogging queen of Japan, part idol, otaku and singer. Her father was famous, but then he died when she was 9. She appeared on an episode of Hello!Morning, loves Hello!Project, anime, drawing manga, cosplay and eating her cats. She started her singing career in 2006 and hasn't stopped yet.
But really, I just wanted a thread to talk about her two upcoming cover albums. I love her cover albums, the first 3 were all anime, but the next two bring her into the pop and idol genre.
News from Tokyohive.
On October 12th, Nakagawa Shoko plans to simultaneously release two new additions to her popular cover album series, “Shocotan☆Cover“!
After releasing her third cover album “Shocotan☆Cover 3 ~Anisong wa Jinrui wo Tsunagu~” in early 2010, the otaku idol will be tackling both old and new anime songs with two separate releases.
The first album is titled “Shocotan☆Cover 4-1 ~Shoko☆Dol Version~“, for which she’ll cover beloved idol songs like CoCo’s “Hanbun Fushigi“, Matsuda Seiko’s “Aoi Photograph“, Okada Yukiko’s “Kuchibiru Network“. In total, she’ll be delivering seven songs.
The second version – titled “Shocotan☆Cover 4-2 ~Shoko☆Rock Version~” – will include covers of more recent songs, such as a full cover of “Don’t be ‘lazy’” from the popular anime “K-ON!!“,LINDBERG’s hit song “Ima Sugu Kiss Me“, and even a cover of Aikawa Nanase. Both versions will be released in ‘CD+DVD’ and ‘CD-Only’ versions.

She just released her PV for Hanbun Fushigi.
If you saw Maimi's dance cover for her new image DVD, this is basically the same thing, just in PV form and with colors and singing and Shoko being her own idol group.
