Chapter 1; Irony
Wonder Girls debuted in early 2007 as a 5 member girl group, the members being (from left-right) Sunmi, Sohee, Yeeun, Hyuna, and Sunye. Their debut song was Irony. After their debut, fans of the Wonder Girls were give their official fanclub name Wonderfuls. The beginning days were not easy. They didn’t have a huge amount of success with their first album, Sohee missed a part of the promotions due to an injury after falling from a moving motorcycle while filming. They also suffered their first major setback. Member Hyuna left the group after suffering from fainting spells and other health problems. She later went on to debut with the group 4Minute.

Chapter 2; Tell Me, So Hot, Nobody
After Hyuna left the group, the girls continued to promote as a 4 member group. However, for their comeback they added a new member. The members were (From left-right) Yeeun, Sunmi, Sunye, Sohee, Yubin. Yubin had only 3 days between joining the group, and her debut. So, the album version of Tell Me does not feature her rap. Tell Me, was her debut song. It was also the start of Wonder Girls explosive popularity. Tell Me launched a dance craze across South Korea, their dance being copied by everyone from students, to police and soldiers. It was also their first win on a music show. This was also when Wonder Girls earned the title of Korea’s Little Sisters.

The girls popularity continued to rise with their next song So Hot. Another dance craze swept Asia and the world, and the girls continued to dominate the charts.

Nobody was the 4th and most popular to date song. Not only did yet another dance craze explode across the world, but this was the year of the Wonders, cementing their status as Korea’s Girl Group. From the Wonder girls Wikipedia:
After a very brief hiatus, the Wonder Girls made a comeback in early fall of 2008. The full music video for “Nobody” was revealed, and the single was digitally released simultaneously. They performed the following weekend on Show! Music Core, Music Bank, andInkigayo. The song went to #1 on KBS‘ Music Bank, staying there for four consecutive weeks,[16] and also won Cyworld’s “Song of the Month” award in September and October 2008.[17] Like “Tell Me”, “Nobody” also sparked a dance craze.[18]
At the 2008 MNet KM Music Festival Awards, the Wonder Girls took home three awards, including the highly-desired “Song of the Year” award, as well as “Best Music Video” for “Nobody”, and “Best Female Group”.[6] The group also won an award at the 2008 Golden Disk Awards a month later for high digital sales.[19] At the 18th Seoul Music Awards, the Wonder Girls won the Daesang (“Artist of the Year” award), the highest award offered, for “Nobody”, along with two other awards.[5]

Chapter 3; American Debut
In 2009, it was announced that the Wonder Girls would make their American debut! They released an English version of Nobody, and opened for the Jonas Brothers tour. Later in the year they headlined their own tour across parts of America and Canada. The majority of their time in New York was spent adapting to the new culture, and practicing the language.

Chapter 4; Member Change
In early 2010, the Wonder Girls held a press conference, and member Sunmi announced that she would be going on hiatus. She was incredibly homesick in America, and decided to return to Korea to go to college and be closer to her family. She is still training under JYP, and is still a member of the Wonder Girls, just simply not promoting at this time.
It was also announced that there would be a new addition to the Wonder Girls. The active line up is now (from left to right) Yeeun, Sunye, Sohee, Yubin, and Hyerim (Lim). Together they’ve released an English album with their new song 2 Different Tears (English, Chinese, Korean), English versions for So Hot, Nobody, and Tell Me, and two remixes of Nobody.
Despite many claiming that 2DT was a flop, it actually wasn’t. They promoted for only 2 weeks in Korea, and during one of those weeks they won an award, beating Super Junior who was promoting at the same time. It also landed in the top 10 songs of the year despite limited promotion.
Since then they have met many famous Americans, been featured in magazines, performed all over the world, won awards, were the first Korean artists to land a spot in the top 100 billboard chart. They’re working with Claude Kelly on their debut American album, and were just recently featured on Billboards Mashup Monday, singing a cover of Bruno Mars and B.o.B.’s ‘Nothin on You’. They also won Mashup of the Year with 68% of the votes.
Since then they've filmed a movie for Teen Nick that will debut in the first quarter of 2012, and now they're back in Korea getting ready for their comeback, which we've been told will not be a retro concept.
