Happy Birthday, Captain!

Post by Madara »

Well, it's still Nov. 22 in Japan, so we can still celebrate. Saki is the first Hello! Pro Kid to turn 20 while still in H!P. (Erika Umeda turned 20 last May, but she'd already graduated from H!P.) I honored the occasion last night by watching Berryz Kobo's Single Clips 5 DVD, the latest compilation of the group's PVs.

Some of my favorite pix of her:

I have to say, she has matured quite nicely. Happy birthday to Saki!

Were the exact same age. She's gotten so beautiful in the past couple years. I remember her awkward looks and huge eyebrows like they were there yesterday.

I just got a bunch of H!P visual books sent to me and two of them were the 2003 H!P Concert where the H!P kids first made their debut. My scanning abilities suck, but I scanned the sticker sheet that came with one of them.

Are they still regarded as Kids considering mose of them are in their late teens? Hell, all of them are now that I think about it. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... mellow.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

So what are they then? Or do they just...exist? lol

To older fans they will always be the H!P Kids, but to the newer fans they will be Berryz Koubou and C-ute (Or Berikyuu)

It makes me feel SO OLD to realize that the kids are starting to enter their 20s. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... ryalot.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':cryalot:' />

Doesn't it make you feel like the whole journey was incredible though? From when they were H!P kids to forming BK and C-ute and touring, releasing songs etc, looking back on it, it's amazing all the things you can remember.

Which is why when a new audition is announced, I feel like we are all starting on a whole new journey....

oh crap.... Now I have that damn Aladdin song stuck in my head
