This was the single most awesome thing MM ever took part in, period. With all respect to all the classic fairy tale musicals they did before, even if they had better sets, acting, casting and more leads, Stacys kick so much ass that all this becomes irrelevant. It's a non-stop rollercoaster of awesome that will put this most satisfied grin on your face and keep it there until long after. I'm so glad I didn't spoil myself by watching the clips or the unsubbed version, because the more I think of it the more my mind gets blown.



PS. Dear Santa Claus, Buddha, Satan, whoever, for Xmas please bring me a Sion Sono-directed feature film version of Stacys with the same cast as the musical. It can even be Xmas 2015, I'll be patient, but please please make it happen.



PS2. Review of the original Stacy movie (I'm so sad Snowblood Apple went practically defunct in the last few years). Don't read if you don't want to get spoiled. It explains a bit about the background and lists the numerous references (if you didn't get the chainsaw reference you should hide under a rock). If 10 years ago someone told me MM would star in a musical version of it I'd laugh in their face, then go back home and cherish the thought as one of the most precious fan wet dreams.

Losing someone you love is hard, but when you have to kill them, it must be impossible to live on. (It also means life hates you.)

Its a good play, very unique in Hello! Project plays.

Its the only musical I've ever liked. Then again its about zombies. The 2001 movie version is nice as well, but the play seems more close to the original.
