I predict..

- 12th generation auditions announced late fall and new member(s) join in 2014.

- A new group consisting of the older Eggs.

- Even line distribution once Reina leaves MM. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... pyeyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':puppyeyes:' /> Please?

- S/mileage 3rd generation auditions!

- A H!P scandal happens.

- Either Ai or Risa get a man.

- Tsunku grows a beard.

Berryz/C-ute scandals that will go ignored until there are too many of them in number to ignore, and then sappy official statements are released pertaining to the girls 'growing up' and 'moving on'. The name chosen for Reina's band will come from an overseas fan.



Berryz will become sexier and Momoko will still be doomed to wear pigtails. Yuzu will be pleased.



C-ute will have a single with choreography that makes HELP ME's choreography look like THIS



S/mileage will start singing with slightly lower voices.



H!P will get a new soloist. She won't have a gimmick, she'll just sing.

He will wind up giving the part to Seiko Matsuda, with Ai Takahashi in the Eve Harrington role. Sonny Chiba will have a part. As will Meiko Kaji (LADY SNOWBLOOD).

I don't even know if the Sayumi graduation thing is even a rumor at this point, it is almost definitely happening <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':lol:' /> They're about 10 years too late with it, though.



Only other thing I can think of is I'm starting to doubt if Berryz will make it through the end of the year. They're getting really old and busy with other things, I just wonder how much they'll be pushed to stay around.



Whatever else happens in H!P, I DGAF, since Mano is already leaving and Berryz breaking up is basically the worst thing that could happen besides what has already happened.



H!P doesn't have anywhere near the media attention anymore to get involved in scandals, so I can't speculate any scandals happening. The less popular idol groups out there are never targeted for scandals, so you never see any of them, even if they are likely participating in some of the same behavior that would get them in trouble, they just don't get caught because no one's watching. The tabloids just target and follow the really popular faces that have some fame to lose from it. The only "scandals" related to H!P in recent times is stuff that involved graduated members from like 10 years ago and they just keep dwelling on it like Maki and Kago, but new stuff never surfaces. H!P's media exposure died around 2006 and AKB took over as the "idol group to follow for scandals" and I think Megumi from C-ute was the last true scandal they had, chronologically.

Haha, yeah, in relation to the real world, they're not that old, but in H!P years, they're getting to be grannies at this point. Most of them only last until about 21 or so, except for the few that make it to 23-ish like Nacchi, Iida, Ai, Reina, and Sayu.

First of all, leaving your agency is pretty much career suicide in Japan. And it definitely doesn't mean you automatically get better material and promotion. Maki is a great example of that.



Putting aside the huge difference in standards for male and female idol groups, I think at a certain point many female idols (especially in H!P and other less popular groups) get bored of being idols and are ready to move on. More often then not when you hear about someone graduating they seem really happy to focus on something new. SMAP and other JE groups have been able to dabble in so much more than just performing, posing in magazines, and being in horror films/cheesy romances. Konno left Morning Musume and then H!P entirely to become a newscaster. Sakurai Sho is a newscaster who gets tons of great interviews and stories to cover and he never even left Arashi. And now two other JE boys have sports casting positions.



At some point Momoko might want to actually teach elementary school, Risako might want to take over Reina's rock band, Maasa might want to devote herself to acting. C-ute and Berryz have both only gotten better with time, but I think the girls will make the decision to move on by themselves before UFA says gtfo you're old.

It's actually even "worse" (for the lack of a better word). You're considered a "christmas cake" if you aren't married/in a relationship by the age of 25, since a christmas cake is not that fresh and good anymore after the 24th/25th.

I don't think Berryz could leave without C-ute too. They didn't debut together, but they've always been a package deal since their debut. And since C-ute's sales are rising, I don't see it happening unless the girls themselves push it.
