[2013] MM-BBS Rank your favorite H!P Members!

Post in the H!P Spam got me thinking, how would we rank favorites on the BBS?



So here is our post to deal with favoritism.



There are two ways to do this. Vote here -> Poll (If you chose a K!egg as your favorite, write their name in.) You can only vote once and the poll is hidden, I'd like for it to be kept secret.



Or comment below with your favorite member, top five, top 10, or rank them all. Doesn't matter, but only the #1 counts.



I'll throw together the results on March 1st. For better or worse.



This is just your personal bias and nothing else. If you want to vote for most talented, the MM-BBS Awards are still active. :P

I have three girls I love equally - Sayu, Zukki, and Kanana. I decided to vote based on if a Kago-sized scandal came along tomorrow and one of the three were wiped out of H!P forever, who would I be most bummed about. I know, it sucks my sister just graduated college. Visiting her was the only reason I ever went to Pittsburgh.

I know I haven't really paid attention much to the fandom since before JunLin left, but can someone explain to me Kanon's popularity? That is who people mean when they say Zukki, right? I don't get it.

Usually, I'd whine about how much better things were back in "the good old days" at this point, but I'm actually pretty satisfied with how things have been going lately. Maybe the songs aren't as good, but I feel like there's enough variety to keep me interested.

Yes - we tend to say Zukki even though the nickname hasn't really stuck within H!P because there are two Kanon's and we're all worried about sounding like weeaboos if we say "Kanon-chan" and "Kanyon" or something.



I can't speak for others, but I loved Kanon right away during her audition when she showed up and did a comedy sketch. She has a fun silly energy that MM really lacked for a while. In the beginning she was goofy and did bug impersonations and things that set her apart from the standard "I'm so cute and girly!" idol. She didn't get all embarrassed about having to make a funny face. In that way she kind of reminded me of Tsuji/Kago back in the day, or MomoClo today. She hasn't been doing the comedy stuff quite so much these days, but when you read her blog you also get to see that she's really earnest about improving at singing and dancing, she's very humble, she loves everyone, and she still has that silly side that orchestrates storylines for her stuffed animals. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':lol:' /> Also she has one of the better voices of the 9th and 10th gen and has improved a lot over when she first joined. I don't think they'll ever let her be the lead unless some crazy changes happen, but I could see her one day taking up a position like Risa and Eri had during the so-called platinum era. Oh! And she has the most adorable happy smile ever.

This board is literally the only bastion of Zukki popularity on the planet. She was "the funny one," but then the 10th came along and are far more amusing, so now she'll disappear into the background forever.

Or maybe people also just think she's legitimately cute and has a nice voice and like her beyond that.

I'm well aware that she's not a popular member overall, but it's pretty obviously not limited to this board considering how many submissions we got for the book we sent her. The large majority of them were NOT from this board.



Besides, it's MMBBS's THING to be "the only bastion of (insert thing here)." We're also one of the few bastions of things like long standing Koharu-hate and use of decent grammar. While I agree with all of the points above, YES YES YES to the grammar thing. God, I ready Hello Online mainly for the member threads...but it hurts my brain every time. This board has spoiled me over the past ten years.
