12th generation "Mirai Shoujo" Audition

Ages 10-17, deadline is 4/30. I'm sure an official announcement will be up soon.

Also, since I KNOW people will ask, Cuca IS old enough to audition, but likely still can't afford to relocate.

I hope we get 2-3 girls. If we get an egg, only 1, maybe Nanami or Kurumi or Ricchan...

I hope that if we get a little kid again, only one is 12, thats if we have more than one girl.

Isn't this what Momusu is about. Fresh faces, change and appreciation of what you have and had. I'm hoping for 1 egg and 2 new girls. Maybe the girls that weren't put in J=J are in the Momusu reserves.

Oh Crap! I hope Sayu will stay for 2 more years (doubt it) or at least until Mizuki is mature enough to be the leader of the group. For the 12th gen, I hope they will add a tomboy to the group. It's been a while since we got someone like Yossie or Makoto.

A 3-girl generation would be nice. I think that even if this means they're getting ready to graduate Sayumi, they should hold off auditions for a while.

It seems they hold an audition everytime a big name is leaving (except for Sakura, Tsunku just wanted to put her in and held the audition for the sake of it).



I vote for a 2-girl generation. We've never got one (Pandas don't count!).



Maybe it's time to put Karin in (the girl is good and really wants it), and another potato idol ala Aika. That would be perfect for me. (L)



Also, 12 is a nice number. ^^

I just hope Sayumi keeps wotaing the group and doesn't get tired of it. At least for 1 (and a half) more year. I still feel like the 9th gen just joined. :/



Anyway, we'll probably get a summer single with the current line-up minus Reina and this 12th gen will debut with the fall single, so.. there's time for Tsunku to surprise us. He could even make an Unlucky 7 and leave us hanging there lol

Though I wouldn't mind them making Morning Musume into a 12 member group for the 12th gen. But it seems impossible for them to just pick 2! It's either 1, 4 or 3.



Part of me hopes that Hello!Station becomes an outlet for them to document these auditions so we can get SUPER attached to these girls only to find out he's picking none of our favorites. BUT on the other hand, I'd hope they would use the comments as a gauge of who is more popular and pick someone we like instead of someone we don't. But that's just wishful thinking on my part. (Pfft, UF do something interesting and unique!? LOLZ!)

I don't know if they plan on adding any trainees this time. The most recently added ones were 11th gen auditioners who didn't make it, and everyone before them has failed anywhere from one to three times depending on when they joined. I know Haruka failed the 9th gen audition, but if you can't get in after the second or third time I'm not sure they're ever going to add you.



That said, here are all the trainees. Everyone fits the age requirement.

Maybe she's just so used to the pattern by now she isn't surprised by them anymore? Or they really did tell her in advance, since she's the one that has to make all of the media comments.



And agreed, the little bit they showed us of Lovendor was boring as hell. Why are they all spaced so far apart? Why do they have little dance moves? Why do they suck so much at pumping up the audience? I'm hoping they work better in a live house environment.



And... I'm really bummed about this audition right now. I know it'll be several months before we have new members join, but I was really feeling like Sakura was the final piece to the puzzle Tsunku/UFA were trying to build. They've got the personality, they've got the dancers, they've got the vocal talent to replace Reina. I was hoping to see them spend more time perfecting all of that before they threw more girls into the mix. I wanted to see the group get to a point where we didn't consistently have three or more girls barely getting a line in the singles. It kind of felt like they were heading in that direction, but with new girls coming in (as someone already mentioned) I just see more people spending time in the back.



Also, I know the clock was already ticking, but this really solidifies that Sayumi isn't going to be around for much longer. Mostly I'm just sad to have to face reality. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... hahaha.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':hahaha:' /> And I'm still really weirded out by the idea of Mizuki being leader. I just can't see it yet.



I guess if we have to have new people, I'd like to see one really good singer and one girl with decent vocals and a personality that really stands out. It would be kind of cute if we got two girls and they formed a TsujiKago type vibe (minus the childishness-into-adulthood thing).

I always thought Sakura was put in to replace the gaping hole that Takahashi and Risa left, not Reina.



Mizuki just doesn't scream leader to me, at least not yet. But then again, Takahashi never fit that bill to me either but she turned out fine and ended up being the longest run leader in the groups history.

I agree with you 100%.



It would also be cool to get another awesome dancer, since that's where the group is going image-wise. Give Riho and Ayumi some competition.



Hopefully the quantity/quality of the auditioners will go up, given the increased popularity of the group.

I don't think we need a third dancer who can't sing sing since they seem to work that way. And inevitably become front girls.



I want a compliment to Sakura. The Reina to her Takahashi.

I think they need to let the girls they have now gain more experience and mature before trying to stuff more members into the group. Its going to put a lot of pressure on Sayumi after Reina leaves and she has to train like 10 people all on her own.
