Takahashi is just an absolute gem and MM was lucky to have her. I really wouldn't know how AKB could get by without any lessons whatsoever. Plenty of girls love to sing but can't get a single note out on key, so there's no way a group of 300 chicks hasn't given them all some basic training. I mean, come on, look at people like Jpopyuna who are tone deaf but love to sing. Those kinds of girls are everywhere, and I'm sure several of them are in AKB... or at least many of them are leaning somewhere on the bad singer side of the continuum.

They absolutely do get voice lessons. Aika was mentioning them in her blog up until her graduation, and Kanon mentioned lessons with Sakura recently.

Not a fan of Haruka but if she and Masaki forms a new W I will be so overjoyed. Their voice really complement each other, like Takahashi and Reina.
And I want Maimi and Airi to become a unit when they graduate from C-ute. Their acoustic *concert* sort of really amazed me.
I don't really want Ayumi and Riho in a unit of their own. Because they dances so well, but their singing sucks. I can't listen to them. Maybe they can be in a unit consisting of Meimi, Tomoko and 2 Akari's, . Then we have 2 singers, 2 dancers and 2 eye-catchers (who can probably sing but not too well).
I want one more utahime from a 12th generation who is also good at dancing and SOOOOO popular with fans that Riho is pushed to the back a little and give space to the new girl. Riho's improvement is too slow I'm becoming impatient.

I want those two in a dance unit were they DO NOT sing.  I love me some Sayashi and Ayumi, but not their voices.  Plus, sans singing they could do some more hardcore dancing.  Just have them perform at concerts or a tv shows.
