Edit: Juice=Juice's Major Debut has been decided on for this summer! Their 1st single will be "Romance no Tochuu", release date TBA.
Miyazaki has been named leader, and Kanatomo sub-leader.

/edit I suppose I should add that I am obviously very excited about this, as Juice=Juice is actually my second favorite group at the moment.  I know she's oldest but I'm surprised at the Miyazaki leader announcement.  And tsunku must be really overwhelmed with his family and stuff because it only took three (2 and 1/2?) indies singles before major debut, and as mimo pointed out, no contest or whatever first.

I don't understand. I watched a couple of PVs of theirs on their YouTube channel. Don't those count as singles?

The leader thing is a bit awkward if you think of time in HP, but Yuka seems to be a good speaker, and that is a pretty big part of the leader role.

Hopefully another Kenshuusei group will be created in the fall.   Tsunku did say he was going to form multiple groups this year (I think).

Man, I haven't been this excited about a new H!P group since Berryz.  I always wonder about who might end up graduating/leaving, though.  I know it's soon for those thoughts but it's always present in my mind, with any group...

Best News EVER!! J=J are fast becoming the best group in H!P, I'm not entirely sold on Yuuka as the leader but maybe it's what she needed to pick up her game.
 
I love Karin's hair in the video, nice to see her finally getting a bit more of an idol make over.

Haha I love Momochi. For those that don't understand Japanese they asked JJ what they won't lose to compared to their senpai, and they said their freshness and adultness with their songs (although I have to say C-ute has them there), and Momo said that she was still youthful and that she wouldn't lose to JJ, or any other idol, or even AKB. Then she says that since Sashihara Rino won the AKB election, and Sasshi is a big Berryz fan, that makes Berryz above her, ultimately with Momo as the #1 idol.

Major debut already?! I knew they would be announcing it relatively soon because they've been moving things along so quickly, but I really thought they would have a fourth indie single. I like that they made Yuka leader because it felt like she was only one without an important role in the group. Aina, Sayuki, and Tomoko are leads, Akari is pretty magazine girl, Karin is the ace/prominent in all aspects of the group, but Yuka didn't really have anything. So I think it's nice.

Is there a difference between a lead and an ace?
 
Usually the ace is the main lead. For example  -
 
MM - Riho
C-ute - Airi
BK - Risako
S/M - Kanon (but tbh maybe Meimi is the ace now)

I think it's kind of divided between the girls in BK. Momoko gets the push as far as face(photo books, DVD, her upcoming essay book) goes and Risako and Miya as vocals.
