Berryz FINALLY got proper blog banners, instead of those Cha Cha Sing ones. I think Miyabi is the only one who had a done up one before this.






 
And Dawa and Kanon got new banners too. Dawa's blog needed a serious facelift (I hope she ditches the starry background soon) so I'm glad:

For me, the Kanon piece is the best. She modulates it so perfectly. She is a true star.
 
I adore Meimi, but she tries too hard on Goodbye Natsuo and Shabondama. But she gets Natsu Doki Lipstick right (she doesn't try too hard). And, fortunately, she doesn't try to duplicate Maimi's dance movements. That would be a bit too scandalous for me.

I was always rather indifferent to Maiha, but Risako was a complete wreck during that entire performance, so of course I was too. Maiha herself was the only one who completely kept it together...Risako and Captain killed me here.

Wow, I'd never seen that before. Maiha looks absolutely radiant there--and gloriously happy, something I'd never seen in any of her earlier performances. Of the others only Momoko is dry-eyed. As to be expected. Incredibly cute costumes, too.
 
What concert was this from? Is it on DVD? I don't have any concert DVDs from Berryz before 2006. I need to fill in that gap in my collection.
 
I followed that clip with the dance shot version of "Goodbye to the Lying Me." Quite a contrast, I daresay. I loved it. I'd never heard of it before. Is there a thread on it? Was it a B-side to something else?

My favorite game in this concert: Spot Mizuki.
Yes, I believe it was Mizuki Fukumura's first concert as an Egg.

I've got four other pix with her in them. (Also, who's the Egg on the far right, in front of Koharu's closeup?)
 
While we're on the subject of Eggs, there are four in this concert whose names I can't connect with faces. Can any of you identify the Eggs in these pix?

The first one is Kaneko Rie which is the correct leader of the eggs. I think she is also the one on the left on the picture with the four.
 
And yes the one on the right is Akari Takeuchi of S/mileage.
 
I'm really not sure about the rest but my guess:
the second one is Furukawa Konatsu, she is also the one in the back in the picture with the four eggs.
the last one is Arai Manami (I think I see glasses)

Edit: Sengoku wasn't in this concert so never mind. That one between Kanna and Mai is definitely Arai.
 
Looking at the list of Eggs who were in this concert, I think the Egg in the second screencap is Aoki Erina.
 
The first girl in the group of four is Rie again. The second girl is the same girl who is in the Koharu closeup photo, and I think that might be Chisato's sister, Asuna?
 
This was Mizuki's first H!P concert, but not her first concert as a part of H!P. She was introduced at the June 2008 Nama Tamago concert and performed at September 2008 Nama Tamago show as well as the November one. September had a DVD release.

And I don't know exactly how to put this, but I don't really "buy" her image in that DVD.  I'm so used to seeing her act dorky and energetic, this sweet image seems so foreign.  Personally, I'd rather see a DVD of her trying to buy some magic beans or something.
