It's been confirmed now I guess? To Koji Abe. He's a comedian. (There's something new and different.) 

 
He's 38, she's 27.

Some months ago Ai posted she was engaged on her facebook page.  One day she closed her facebook account without any notice.  Poof!  Gone!  I had not heard anything else about her engagement until today. 
 
Ai is such a sweetheart!  I wish her nothing but the best.  I was very happy to learn she is getting married on Valentine's Day.  Happy, that is, until I read Anderie's post above about what a loser her future husband is.    That sucks!!!
 
I could start a whole new thread about how J-pop idols should be allowed to date.  That would help prepare them for the real world out there.

Yes!  It was really Ai Takahashi.  There are many imposters out there for all the idols, but this was the real Ai.
 
Even her fiance came on a few times and laughed at how "desperate" some lonesome fans must be.
 
I had a few short conversations with her.  She told me she wanted to hear a sample of Destrose's album.  I sent it and she replied "Reina would love them."
 
Most of our conversations were about English grammar.  She would ask for a critique on her English.  I was the only one bold enough to actually tell her what she was doing wrong.
 
When her facebook page was deleted, all the comments she made onto my page were deleted as well.  I have nothing to show it was her.  You will just have to believe me.
 
I am still facebook friends with all five members of °C-ute!  A year ago they (with the help of their staff-san) would post regularly.   It was obvious when the girls would really post.  They have gone silent now.  They have changed their settings so people like me do not get notifications.  This happened at the same time they were ramping up for the Budokan concert, so I figured they were just too busy.  The only one I get notifications from now is Mai Hagiwara.

I can't believe that a couple of news stories ran about Koharu's comment on her blog about Ai's marriage, something like "I am happy, if she is happy." were perceived as back-handed compliments or inappropriate.  Japan's society is so rigid. There are accounts of this guy being a creep, right?
 
I am afraid that they are going to have to add a new segment to "Oha Suta' where Koharu-chan kowtows to someone she has offended each week.
 
Anyway, I think she is being unfairly picked on.....again.

Reading these, it's not so much a backlash against Koharu as it is wondering if there's something more behind her saying "I am happy, if she is happy."
 
Of course, there is, but I doubt her management would let her say anything like that.

At the beginning she said that she can't cook at all, and she's had to rely on Abe for cooking, but that she'll try her best. Also, that they kind of just naturally starting dating. She never really thought about getting married, but she realized "I want to be with this person forever," and so she thought it'd be a good idea to get engaged. Ai says she likes everything about him Q_Q The reporter asked how she is and she replied "happy." He then asked about the parents, and she said that they're joyous as well. 
 
Skipping ahead, he asks if they have any plans, and Ai immediately says she'd want it to be in Hawaii. Hahaha! Anyway, yup that was the gist of it....

Sorry,  thanks for the translation.  It is not your fault at all.  It was silly of me to think that everyone would have known about this.  I thought the media might be gearing things up to make it into another incident like that radio show appearance, and everyone would know about this other budding controversy.  I am the one who should apologize and thank you for your help.

Well, as long as Ai's happy, that's all that counts. I've got the Koharu sentiment there because there's really nothing else to say.
