In an effort to remove the news tidbits from the spam and thus having them get lost forever, this thread has been made. Please use it when you find news worth mentioning that isn't really thread worthy. And it's not release news.

News Dump for 3/8 (basically use this as a loose guide on how to post the news.)


C-ute are doing a collab with Reebok. (Basically showing you how you can design your own Reebok shoes.)

C-ute are to have a 6 TV show series called "℃-ute no Challenge TV" every last Thursday of the month on BS-TBS. While Love Take it All, will be used as the inauguration CM song for the 2014 BS-TBS Idol Campaign.  Source

 

Sakura, Riho, Kanon, Meimi, Rina, Akari and Karin are all graduating middle school this year. They will all be appearing in the April Issue of BOMB.

I know this is in the spam thread and probably the trainee thread, but I would like it here for prosperity.

The play runs from March 14th to March 23rd. 

It is being split into two volumes.
Kikyuu ni Notte Dokomademo featuring Hamaura Ayano, Yamagishi Riko, Kaga Kaede and Sasaki Rikako
Annie Laurie featuring Tanabe Nanami, Murota Mizuki, Yamaki Risa and Oura Hirona.
 
(Ogawa Makoto and Yasuda Kei are also in the musical.)

Thankfully they used all the trainees I know without having to remember too much.
Sasaki Rikako, Hamaura Ayano, Tanabe Nanami, and Murota Mizuki.
 
 
Also~ Not to be forgotten. Berryz Koubou will also being in an upcoming musical/play. Momoko wont be participating.

Musical is called, Sengoku Jieitai. It will run from May 11th to May 18th.

Thea, even as a Riho fan you must realize how terrible they sounded together on that song.

Take it from a more-than-obsessed Sayu fan (unless your level of Sayu love counts, too :P), when you're THAT into your oshi as Thea is, their singing sounds like the voice of 10,000 angels in harmony.
 
But she does know, like I do, that not most people like Riho's voice.

When you try to listen to each of them sing only their part it is not so bad, but as a duo the harmony is so terrible.
But yeah, love is blind for all Riho fans.

I was actually talking about how poorly they blend together. Very different sounding voices.

In that case, I agree with both of you. They don't blend very well together at all, Riho and Sakura.
 
I can't really think of anyone in current MM that could blend with Sakura, really. Maybe Kuduu if she was a bit stronger. But there's plenty who blend with Riho that could've sang that song with her and gotten better results. Zukki comes to mind since while Zukki doesn't tend to foghorn like Riho, they have similarly deep voices.

Actually, I absolutely love the song. So much that I set it as my alarm clock on my iPod. I was extremely disappointed that it didn't make it onto the final DVD setlist of the Michishige Eleven tour, and that when Sakura sang it at her little solo event that she sang with a studio-version Riho.
 
But yeah, I absolutely love Riho's voice and get over-excited when she gets solo lines. (I totally freaked when I hear the fan recording of Password is 0 MoriMusu version and heard her line) I am waiting for a solo song so bad. 
 
/Edit: As for the issue of the blending being horrible or not, I'm so focused I don't even notice.

Of course, the real issue here is why you get over-excited when Riho gets solo lines considering she always does :P

^ The song is okay. Riho and Sakura sound strange together at times, I wouldn't have put those 2 together in a song though. (As been stated above)

Berryz were invited to "M COUNTDOWN No.1 Artist of Spring 2014" on 4/2 at Yokohama Arena. They're representing Japan.
 
The kpop artists that will be there are Choushinsei (Supernova), 2PM, Girl's Day, Chongigo, Block.B, CRAYON POP, Sonmi, M.I.B, GOT7, Berryz Kobo, Jung Joon Young. It's really cool to see Berryz will be there, especially since I'm a big fan of Girl's Day's music.
 
Berryz will also be at the PON! Spring Matsuri on 3/24 at 1:30pm. It's an event that goes on from 3/21 until 3/29.
 
And, Berryz sans Momoko will be doing another Sengoku Jieitai thing. I think the last one was a play? This is a musical. 5/11-5/18.

 
Also, S/mileage and JJ will both be at the "LiVE GiRL POP Vol.3 ~Flowery~" event on 4/27 at Nakano Sun Plaza.

Kind of surprising for it to be Berryz honestly. I would've expected Morning Musume, or AKB48.
