They show Tsunku again later in I think the 3rd part? It looks more recent because he looks very drawn and weak sounding compared to other clip of him earlier in the show. Though his voice isn't as harsh as it was during the Countdown Live. So I have no idea when the footage was taken. I don't keep up with J-Melo so it might just be old footage. 
 
Anyway, this is a good watch and it's all subtitled in english so you have no excuse not to watch it and discuss!

Hearing Tsunku's thoughts on writing the song was really interesting, it actually makes me want to read his song comments more often.
When they said who the most popular member was, I was a little sad, but it wasn't exactly unexpected, but then when they named the second most popular member and said she was only two points behind.
All in all the episode was captivating and brought out various emotions.
 
Also, if I were in the Netherlands I would assist Haruka in making her dream a reality.

I don't do touchy-feely stuff, though, so since I wasn't watching this alone I had to act all unimpressed when the girls were telling their meaning of alive/love. But I loved it.

Anyway, it was nice hearing about the girls and what they feel is to be alive, even with Masaki's smartass answer   . Zukki seeing she was #2 really made me happy! Though I'm not a major Zukki oshi, I'm sure she had given up on the idea of her ever being popular, so this might have given her a really big boost of self-esteem and drive to go and take the initiative.

I really enjoyed that episode :). Girls' definitions of love were interesting and Linlin's part make me almost cry. (and finally something totally subtitled in English !)
