The other day I was in a Taiwanese restaurant in San Gabriel, CA and on their big screen TV they were playing music videos. One of the videos was of a Taiwanese girl group called "Popu Lady." (And I thought Japan was the king of the English language non sequitir names.)
My wife and I noticed right away that they appeared to be Morning Musume or Hello Project "inspired."
I was just amazed that there was a Mando-pop girl group doing something other than sappy depressing love ballads, a staple of at least Taiwanese Mandarin pop music (and also mainland China and HK, I think).
I checked them out on You Tube. My favorite song is called "Love Bomb." There is also a song called "More More More" and that seems to be very circa 2000 Morning Musume.
Finally, Taiwan is taking a hint from J-Pop and K-Pop and offering a better variety of songs.
Has anyone else seen them or heard of them?

I don't hear a whole lot of MM in them, mostly new school Kpop. They're cute as hell, though.

I've heard of them before.
They seem to be on the same boredom train as a pink.
