I haven't heard of any Nacchi albums since the last one I bought, "Natsumi Abe: Best Selection – 15 Shoku no Nigaoe Tachi," which was in December 2008. Has she released new albums since then? If so, what label? And why haven't I heard of them?

She released two cover albums in 2014 and a new album in 2015. She's done pretty much nothing since marriage and baby, though.

I just found one Birthday event (from 2007!) on CDJapan, but it's out of print. I was hoping for something more recent.

Aidoru Online usually has the birthday events. They actually package a few girls together rather than selling them individually now. Good luck finding one to actually buy, though, they don't sell them through regular retailers.

You can buy them through the Fanclub only so friends in Japan or a very few services (I think No Country For Tall Men Exports is taking this kind of orders but not sure for From Japan) are the way to buy them, usually a few months after the event.

What Meikochi said, but FC DVDs are a ripoff.  An event is a disc is 4860 yen, and that's before counting the 15% commission and shipping.　So, here's a YT  channel of her solos:

I wouldn't want to ruin your enthusiasm but watching the streaming version (available on aidoru online) may give you a more...honest view of the girls voices, especially Haga and Kaga (Ikuta and Ayumi also), who failed quite a few lines live, lines that have been edited on the DVD.

But I still enjoyed reading your blog post, as always !

I have to admit I was waiting those 4 at the corner to see how they would do in a big concert hall so I couldn't not notice their mistakes. (Still enjoyed the concert a lot though ! But noticing they edited voices on the DVD was a real disappointment, didn't expect it from H!P (I was too naive on that it seems) ).

I didn't see anyone post this, so I thought I'd do it. It's a link to MM DVD Magazine 100, subtitled. This is the one where they're all in HS and all wanting Kudo, as a male student, to ask one of them to the post-festival party or something. Even the teachers (Mizuki, Erina, et al) are interested. It's very funny--and incredibly suspenseful. In fact, I was disappointed in his final choice.
 
They're all good, but I especially liked a frenetic Miki--sprinkling her lines with English words and phrases; a delightfully enthusiastic Reina; and a reserved, surprisingly mature Akane. Akane has a great face for acting. I think she should pursue it. Kaga plays the only other male student. Chisaki plays, appropriately enough, a transfer student.

They ranked 47 with 174,000 attendees at 72 performances. Third most performances on the list.

I've gotten the impression that the 48 groups are really struggling to sell concert tickets. Although the way this list works means they barely did any concerts at all.
