I really wonder if that much girls had mental issues before and were not put on rest or if it's something really new.

I guess it's a bit of all. Nowadays people know more about these illnesses than 20 or even only 10 years ago so doctors can give your symptoms a name. But it's also possible that it's happening more often due to new circumstances. Life is a bit more hectic than it has been.

I would assume they just didn't get breaks before. Mental illness in Japan used to be pretty taboo until recently, it wasn't something you talked about publicly.

I would say she's a good candidate but this doesn't mean anything. There are other Kenshuusei who never debuted who did CM's in the past (i.e. Tanabe Nanami).

Yeah, but I feel like the fact that we know a group is right around the corner means good things for her. I think if Tanabe had stuck around just a little bit longer she probably would have made it into one of the Factories.

Karin has a "Vocal Functionality Disorder" and that they were gonna have her just participate in the dance numbers and not sing in concerts, but that even just dancing messes with her breathing and keeps her from healing, so she's on medical leave until she's better.

I didn't see it mentioned, but Ju=Ju will have its first Budokan as 7 on November 20th. Happy for the girls! Their last Budokan seemed to be a success, so wishing for the best.
 
Nanamin and Danbara seemed especially moved. This will be their first Budokan as members of a group that are the main guests.

Hirose and Taguchi were on a show where they were interviewed after their movie screening. They were asked about both Rio and Rena, something that happens basically never. I'm sure the answers were very PR but still.
