First tour without Sayashi Riho. 13th gen will likely not be announced by the end of tour, but isn't impossible. Kanon will graduate at the end on 5/31.

Based on the title I'm expecting either a lot of mid-tempo or dance heavy songs in the setlist. Maybe Toki Sora, As For One Day, Nanchette Renai will be in it.

Maybe we'll get a more varied set list now that they're leaving formation dancing behind. MM concerts have mostly felt phoned in with regards to song choices the past couple years.

I also think it'll be more, well, emotional songs. But hopefully not just sad ones, some more energetic ones as well--just not ones that are "formation." I'd be pleased if they did some Ganbacchae and Nani mo Iwazu ni..... And anything off 10 MY ME performed will be a for sure purchase of the DVD. *ahhhh*

Just noticed this. She acquitted herself well, although Eri and Maria(!) not so much. Who the fuck thought that casting Maria in Natsumi's role was a good idea? She's one of the most feminine member of the group ever. And as a singer, Eri is no Maki. She's barely a Maria in this performance. Honestly, even though Kudo did okay, she doesn't match the vocal polish of Yossi (not the most polished of singers herself), although she brought enough attitude and acting to make her part enjoyable. Outside of her, though, it's a shit-show. I'd like it if they'd put this song on the "Do Not Touch" list until they have a group of girls with the skills to do it justice. Short of that, not giving lead parts to the likes of Eri and Maria would help a lot.

Ayumi won the english corner so she'll take the solo spot for this tour.

Ogata was close to win it so I guess we could have gotten worse than Ayumi, even if I'm not really happy with it.


Also, Miki and Kanon duet on Lemon Iro to Milk Tea was shown on H!S. It was supposed to be a Miki solo (since she won the previous english corner) but as it is Zukki's last tour, Miki shared her solo with Zukki.

Masaki sounded sick (as usual), but not bad. Her intonation in Aishite Aishite Ato Ippun was amazing. I actually wonder if her voice and gestures were sexier than Ishida's?! Management did great shuffles for those 4 songs. Erina did well with the (longer) solo lines she was given throughout the concert. This is really weird for me to say, but I hope they give her more lines???? Especially if it's going to be a Mizuki Sakura snore fest. I quite like Mizuki's voice, I just want variety.
 
On a technical note, this concert is leaps and bounds above both of last year's in terms of lighting and special effects... Although they still used the damn pyrotechs lol.
 
 
All in all, this concert was waaay better than PRISM, and probably better than GRADATION as well. (After completing the concert, def better than GRADATION, too.) I'm definitely buying it.

I was impressed by all them performance wise. I watched it like 10 times. They sound great too! Especially Miki's singing! I think MM's current girls fit Platinum Era songs a lot more than what they have them singing now. Maa-chan "Watashi wo mite sekushii" was just bursting with emotion. I think that now that a lot of girls are 16+ they have more maturity as well that was missing before.

This is by far the best performance I've seen from any of the 12th gen. If Miki can sing like that consistently she'll start seeing a lot more action.

I had no idea this happened, but apparently famous actress Mayu Matsuoka performed live with MM'16 during this tour (??). She is known to be a huge Riho wota, and performed One, Two, Three in Riho's stead. Super cool.

Matsuoka had a 10~12 episode long mock documentary, and the main part was about her trying to get into Morning Musume. (Her reason for joining? Riho.) The documentary ended, and at the end there was a hand written letter from Riho to her:
