I really like Utakata, it's giving me AKB vibes though (just an observation). I do wish that with the music video they had taken it one step further and had the girls in either 70's or 80's clothes during the scenes where they were just dancing around for fun. It would have been cheap to do as well (unless they wanted to buy everything new..).
Unfortunately this single as a whole is pretty weak compared to the singles that the rest of H!P has been putting out (with the exception of JJ). I think MM is kind of stuck right now. They're letting the formation dance thing go and they lost their center, who the original reason for a more dance based group. 12th gen hasn't been strong enough to really contribute anything to the group. I think that why MM feels so weak to me. They don't know what direction to push them in now music wise...and it shows. I think the lack of Tsunku has hit MM the hardest since it always his "daughter".

At least Zukki gets a dialogue and looks legitimately happy.  This song is definitely going on my dance playlist though <3

This is probably the best song this single. The girls seemed like they were having a lot of fun in the MV and I like the goofiness of it. I'm glad Zukki got a better song to shine in.

Saturday Night is definitely the best song on the single. It's the only one where everything fits together smoothly and all the parts sound like they belong to the same song. And it's a legitimately really good disco track.

This was 10x better than the H!S version shown. Idk if it's enough to save the entire single for me, but it's an MV I'll make sure to watch from here on out. It won't be forgotten =3 
Ayumi's little running on "tomaranai!" was so cute and funny, too. She's so good at that humor, glad they included it.
 
The only nitpick I have is Nonaka's facial expressions... I know she wants to be "stoic like Sayashi". But come on Q_Q.

No, it's more like that this is a recurring issue with H!P singles. They have stock issues all the time.


First day is low, but it's higher than TokiSora and Seishun's first days. And Utakata alone is still better than the snooze fest 'we demand to be taken seriously' nonsense that was the last single.
