Truthfully, though, Suzuki Airi is a senior Mao really looks up to, so for her this will be something really amazing. I'm sure Airi will teach her a few things she wouldn't have learned from her Tsubaki seniors... So out of the 4, I'm glad Mao won in the end.
 
Idk why they had to put all the other members in the groups though.... I just feel like Hinafest is a lucky chance to shine (though the 2016 H!P summer concerts did shuffles quite well) with the lack of shuffles over the past 4 or so years. Especially now in such a big arena this year!

It's often hard to keep up with Airi in performances, but Mao did a better job than I expected. There were times when her singing style reminded me of Inaba Atsuko (mostly at the "Shiawase inoru wa" part at the end of the chorus).

They really let Mao take a great hold on this. What a perfect song for them to choose, honestly. And I really hope this is the spark for Maopin.... Getting to work with your most admired senior, getting their tips and advice, getting a solo slot at Hinafest right after your group debut.
 
It's up to her to make use of this. She's already the type of girl with no shame or shyness, so I'm guessing she'll be ready to put herself out there right away again.
 
PS--she's one of the youngest members in H!P (not including KSS), btw. Others born the same year, earlier in the year: Yanagawa, Ozeko, Haga, Funaki. The only H!P member (non-KSS) younger than her: Kasahara Momona.

Rikako is a visual in the group, of all of ANGERME she gets the most magazine work of any of the girls. That's her thing. She may have shared duet duties with Ayaka, but everyone but Kasa seemed to have gotten a solo line so it's not like the others are being neglected. In fact, I think Takechan got a lot more time in the song that she would have previously. I thought it was a nice change. :) 
 
btw, can I just say, I love that Takechan is growing her hair out. I hope she doesn't cut it. D:

Ayaka should graduate in the foreseable future and it will be Moe's time to shine. So at least Rikako gets tiny bits now (hope she can get some more with Maho absence).


Also, I'm usually not fond of short hair but I think Takechan looks much better with shorter hair (than her current hair lenght).

Poor MinaMina. It's good she got them back in, but not soon enough haha... She could have covered one of her ears, but I don't know how well that works without the other ear piece in as well.

I dunno exactly how the earpiece properly helps in the first place, so idk how that would work. But I have a feeling if you don't have at least one in, you're screwed. She did a good job of keeping her composure, though. I would've had a meltdown.... I'm sure she got a good scolding afterwards though :'(

Rikako can fairly sing well, too -- better than some want to admit. I swear, sometimes I think people want to convince me that she's Koharu 2.0 as a singer, when she's clearly not. She's not a great singer, but she's not a tin-ear, either. She's probably in the top half of H!P, tbh. Granted, that's not a high hurdle to clear, but Rikako does clear it.
