[2017.04.26] Juice=Juice 9th single - Jidanda Dance/Feel! Kanjiru yo

Surprised by all of the focus on Yuka and Akari in Jidanda Dance. Akari has been a lot more important in songs lately (Bakayarou) but to have a song more or less led by both of them is pretty shocking.
 
On that note, Yuka sounds FANTASTIC and I'm through the roof. All of the girls really hold their own now. I hope that in the future if J=J ever re-records their old songs, they'll make them less kntm-Sayubee-Karin-centric and give these girls some lines.

I... actually like Jidanda Dance. It's fun. A bit weird as a J=J a-side maybe but it's catchy. And for once I don't hate a J=J choreography.

Good MV, good costume,fun decent song, pretty girls and yet J=J still managed to make it boring.

Yooooooooooo that MV though.... It's not everyone's style but I think it's hard to argue that it wasn't well done. Multiple camera angles, long, flowing shots, animation, interesting dance shots, etc etc.

I LOVED it. At first I wasn't so sure about the song, it's so wacky, but it felt very much like something Berryz Koubou would do.
 
And I loved the PV! Visually appealing, I loved the effects and the comedy.

I finally watched the Jidanda Dance video and I think it's super cute.  I like the studio version of the song better than the live for sure but I am still not loving it.  AND I HATE THAT STUPID SWEATER THEY TIED AROUND SAYUKI'S NECK.
 
I hear kanjiru yo is a ballad so I haven't even bothered yet but I guess I'm not getting this single.

I haven't checked in with JJ for a bit, but I LOVE Jidanda Dance and my YouTube played Dream Road, which I also really, really love (but wtf was that dance break and ending dance routine? Weird).


Anyway, I love this release! Feel is good, but very generic.

I like Feel!'s lyrics and MV, but everything else was pretty boring. But I really love Jidanda Dance. Probably my favourite J=J release in a while.

I don't get why people like Jidanda Dance. The song sounds so off to me. Like they jammed two different songs together and made it work and then let Juice sing over it. It's jarring to me in the worst possible way.

It sounds cohesive to me. I haven't listened to it more than once yet, but I didn't hear anything jarring on my end. The lyrics, video, and song are all fun though!

I also think Jidanda Dance is fun, but it's also catchy. Dream Road had a catchy chorus but the rest didn't exactly stick and Keep On was simply annoying to me after some time. I don't feel the same for Jidanda.

I actually kind of like both songs. They aren't the best songs but the girls actually look like they're having fun in them for once which is better than most of their songs.

Feel! Kanjiru yo is just okay. It looks and sounds like a GREEN FIELDS video. Really makes me think of just a passable SATOYAMA song.


It's a shame, it kind of brings down the SHEER AWESOMENESS of this single provided by Jidanda Dance. Jidada dance dance~

#1 is some boy group I've never heard of but apparently they're under Stardust and debuted in 2011. Then I looked them up and they've got Stardust written all over them. Anyway, they sold over 60k and the sales this week are pretty pathetic so they're guaranteed first place.

If I'm being honest, I dunno why songs like Feel! even exist... I can't see it having and replay-ability, and I'd be shocked if a non Ju=Ju member EVER sang it. It's just.... Not even worth making, imo. Shame to put such good singers to waste  =/

But uh, Feel! Kanjiru yo is cute for like, an album track or something. But I guess it's just personal taste, I'm sure someone in management loved it so much that it just HAD to be an A-side. LOL
 
For example, I think Egao no Kimi wa Taiyou sa is an abomination to music but it was the lead A-side for some godforsaken reason.
 
I agree though, the other unreleased songs they have floating around are much better. It's nice that we have a good album to look forward to, but who knows how long we'll have to wait?
