There's a SP Edition as well, maybe B-sides, maybe not??

If there's b-sides they're likely the other new tracks they've been performing unless they're releasing an album soon. Which seems unlikely if a single is coming.

That's fine with me. Their first album was great and I'd consider buying the second one, too. I still regret not buying the last single because I actually liked the two main songs quite a bit.

I have their first album and I really like it, and I really like "Kono Sekai wa Suteta Mon ja nai" which is one of their new songs which hasn't been given a home on an album yet. I don't particularly like to listen to their singles by themselves but their album was great. I'd like a second one as well...
 
Just salty that J=J is the next group to get a single release when Angerme's last single was released mid-October, and Kobushi's last single was in late July =/

True, they're overdue for a release. I'd excuse Kobushi because of their movie thing, but ANGERME really needs something... (as we at least hear about Kobushi).

The problem lies in that they are relying more on outside help instead of just Tsunku micromanaging everything.

And let's not forget we're having 3 songs a single for almost every group, instead of one main song and a b-side. That's 3x the work, really... lol.

Lots of those former groups weren't as high a priority as everyone is now. Wasn't uncommon for people who weren't MM/Berryz/C-ute to release one single in a year once the really early 2000s were over.

They were also not selling that much. Heike Michiyo did well in her first two years or something but then sank to the bottom. Melon Kinenbi constantly sold a few thousand copies. While they didn't sell badly it was a stark contrast to Morning Musume and all their subunits.


Granted, you could argue that some groups would sell around the same nowadays without keeping them artificially high with handshake events and the like.

Yeah but that adds to my point about H!P not being MM and Friends anymore. It was easy to have a million groups when more than half of them were inactive for long periods of time. Now they actually kind of treat them all equally and that takes up more time.

And Tsunku doesn't do majority of the work himself anymore, so I don't think there's too much going on that couldn't be handled by other people

I'm very interested in "Jidanda Dance", what with BLACC HOLE being involved. A lot of his (her, their?) K-Pop stuff has a retro vibe without being retro, if that makes any sense.

It wasn't a hit by any definition but by Rainbow standards it was successful.


I don't see JJ releasing anything like any of those songs though. Especially because they described the song themselves as wacky with a stomping dance. Other song is a ballad.

What do you mean? Like they have no standard sound?

I would agree with that. They seemed to have a sound up to the single that Karin had to sit out on (and maybe the next, can't remember), but after that they've been all over the place.


Though I feel that way with pretty much every group.

Jidana dance does not feel like Juice=Juice song, for sure. The audio mix seems reaaaallly odd on it, as well. Maybe it's the rip but it's very odd.
 
Feel! seems like a less Kono Sekai wa Suteta Mon ja nai. I dunno, I prefer Kono Sekai. Feel! is like a mix of that and Wonderful World.

I like Jidanda but it would have suited a group with more personality better. I think Angerme or especially Kobushi would have nailed it.

I feel like Sayuki sounds better live than in recordings... Both songs sound nice. I like J=J but I can hardly get into their singles anymore.

Watching it live, Jidanda dance feels like Berryz. It's odd.
 
Also, Yukanyan really showed her vocal improvement with this song in particular. She sounded great live.
