[2017.04.10] SAYUMINGLANDOLL ~Saisei~ CD Release

I actually don't know the name of the CD so I'll just use the name of Sayumi's event.
 
There's a radio preview of one of the songs that was released recently so I thought I'd make a place for future previews and information on the CD. It's release is set for April 10th at her show. No plans so far for a general release at the moment that I can find. But hopefully it'll show up on E-Lineup. ;D

The way they mix her vocals is very Kyary Sayu Sayu, it's cool.
 
It's much more intense than I'd have expected for a Sayu song..
 
Well now we know why PINK CRES. is taking so long to debut. Everyone writings songs for them went and decided to give them to Sayu instead!

In the related videos on YouTube, there's a fan recording of one of her other songs (M5 true love true real love) if you want to hear what her actual live singing sounds like and don't care about "spoilers".

Sayu could run with it... There are tons and tons of alternative rock (Japanese) groups that are lead by really cute, soft singers. She's still no amazing singer but it is better... Maybe if she kept taking private lessons it'd be even better, lol

I can't stop laughing at the idea of Sayumi Michishige being the lone H!P solo artist. 
 
This is great, though. Do we have any info on who wrote/produced this? If it's not Yasutaka Nakata, it's a pretty reasonable facsimile.

Sayu may not have the vocal chops, but she has the entire package otherwise. honestly the only mm member in recent years I could get behind supporting solo.

Why is she so perfect?

Finished listening through the CD. It was great! Stand outs were definitely "Saisei ~Watashi wa Koko ni Iru wa~" and "Watashi no Kotae". "Agaru Agaru" and "Kawaii Edit Party" were nice too.
 
Some of the tracks weren't super memorable, but it was an enjoyable listen the whole way through. I think the songs will become earworms with a few more listens.
 
Of course, she hasn't become a FANTASTIC singer, but you can hear tremendous improvement in the songs that aren't heavily filtered. Makes me wish she'd re-recorded the old songs on the CD.
