[2017.05.03] °C-ute Final Best Album - °COMPLETE SINGLE COLLECTION

Announced at their final tour, °Celebration, the group will be releasing their final best album on May 3rd.

Limited A features a Blu-ray of their performance at COTTON CLUB
Limited B features a PV collection (cdjapan says it's all 49 PVs)
 
Regular is 6 discs (2 for couplings and 1 for rarities).

6 discs... dang! Curious what the "rare" songs would entail. Hopefully they're better than like... Wakkyanai (Z) 7nin version (aka the one without Kanna)

If this is going by Berryz' last release, there should also be some covers chosen by members and the most important song for each musical they did. And maybe a remix of one of their iconic song (Ginghis Khan got a "piston" version, because it didn't have enough remixes haha).

The Piston remix was on the Dschinghis Khan best album, if I remember correctly

I've never understood why for last "best" albums like this they don't re-edit songs... As in a vocal line that usually was Airi's goes to Okai. I mean do they really just toss out all the old vocals that don't make the song cut? That seems like a cool idea to me... but maybe I'm all wet.
 
 
Either way seems like a good album. Obv nothing will really top Cmaj9 for me, but this is probably the next best thing lol

I checked, you're right, normal version, Tartar Mix and Piston Nichizawa Two Turntable Remix are on that album.

Yuki ga CHIRARI seems to be the original version of Sakura CHIRARI and Come Together is Ongaku Gatas' 3rd single. Neru Ko wa °C-ute is from their musical in September 2007 and Ataru mo Hakke from the one in September 2009.

But no idea about Samurai☆Baby.


3 new songs and several songs I've never heard of : I'm excited about this 6th disk.

Now hoping events will be before my arrival to Japan or I'll be tempted to buy limited A with regular.

They don't have a depressive good bye song like Love Together so I'm assuming at least one of these will be so ; and it may be the last one since title means "My way home when everything is done" (other meaning "Dream" and "Dignified").

Hearing the new material from the 6th disc, I was not expecting Megumi to be in Yuki ga Chirari....and the rest of the new stuff is decent.
 
As for the 3 new songs...ehhh...they're OK...but nothing I'll remember

What a dilemma! Do I get Limited Edition Type A, which has a Blu-ray of the Cotton Club performance? Or Limited Edition Type B, which has a Blu-ray of all their music videos?
 
I probably have most of their PVs already, as Single-V's or on Petit Best or their compilation discs. I'm sure I have all of them from the beginning to early 2012. But it would be nice to have them all in one place. Any input on the Cotton Club performance that would sway me in that direction?

I'd say the real question is between Regular and Limited A, so between 44 (!) more songs (you may own a few of them but very few B-sides made it to albums) and a concert dvd.

One of my friends saw it live and really enjoyed it. He said it was quite refreshing to have something different from usual live concerts for once, calm and with a live band.

It's a hard choice... But all of C-ute is probably in their strongest vocal place for Cotton Club. Maimai is still painful to listen to, but it's far less strained than normal concerts...
 
Plus there's the amazing live version of Mugen Climax.
