Madara, I can answer a couple of these questions.
 
Hikaru Inoue is the current leader of the Hello Pro Kenshuusei, she joined in 2013.
 
Kamiishinaka Kana is a SATOYAMA unit consisting of Nakajima Saki, Kanazawa Tomoko,  Ishida Ayumi and Kamikokuryo Moe. They had one song Furusato no Yume, which will be featured on this album.
 
The other questions I don't have the answers for, I haven't paid attention to those things closely enough, but I'm sure someone around here knows. Hope this helps at least a bit.

Definitely not the first time KSS/Eggs were featured in some way in a PB album
 
- PB7 had Tomoiki ki wo Uetai (an egg unit)
- PB8 had the Eggs that were active in Ongaku Gatas

​- PB9 had Yuu Kikkawa and Sayaka Kitahara in MilkyWay and Yuuka Maeda in High-King and apparently some were in the Wonderful Hearts rendition of LALALA Shiawase no Uta
- PB10 had Akari Saho in Aa!, Akari Takeuchi & Karin Miyamoto in Shin Minimoni, and indies S/mileage/Shugo Chara Egg! members
- PB15 had the cast from Bokutachi no Karen na Gasshoudan which was: Mizuki Murota, Kaede Kaga, Riko Yamagishi, Risa Yamaki, Hirona Oura, Nanami Tanabe, Ayano Hamaura, and Rikako Sasaki
- PB16 if you wanna count Tsubaki then since they were still indies here and Risa Ogata & Kurumi Takase were a part of Triangle Alpha
- PB17 had Momohime Kiyono in MODE
 
The other question, all of these songs were released physically or digitally during the year, so there's no "unreleased tracks" here.

They didn't even bother to change groups' photos this time. And they could have work on the design more.

I listened to the album once and watched the Blu-ray once. This is easily the worst Petit Best collection yet. Weren’t there so many better songs and videos that came out this year they could have used? The only songs I really like in it are Brand New Morning, Hatsukoi Sunrise and Gobaku~We Can’t Go Back~. The only videos I like on the Blu-ray are: Brand New Morning, Hatsukoi Sunrise, and Jidanda Dance, the latter because Juice=Juice are so charming and perky in it. Also, I’ll add the Kamiishinaka Kana video because it’s got four photogenic H!P girls and some picturesque scenery. Where are Mukidashi de Mukiatte, Sexy Cat no Enzetsu, Fiesta Fiesta and Doudatte Ii No, to name four? And why that stupid video of cat pictures under a song by Haruna Iikubo and Tomoko Kanazawa? And if they’re gonna put Kudo and Sato together, why waste them on a dumb song and an amateurish animated video that makes the old Minimoni animated videos look state-of-the-art? We don't even SEE them. Each group should have had at least two videos in the mix. J=J has two videos but they're both of the same song (one’s a pointless dance shot version of the other).
 
Overall, such a wasted enterprise.

Probably because they wete released in the last quarter of the year...plus im sure boogie woogie was used since it was the bigger song for Country Girls last year

Either way, some very bad selection decisions for Petit Best were made by management these last two years.
