They've been performed in concerts so technically they're not "new" they're just "unreleased."

Yeah, I'll count the new fall concert songs as new material but some of them are just old songs that are unreleased. When Watashi no nanni no Wakacchanai was first performed, Riho and Kanon were both still in the group. Seishun Say A-Ha is from the spring concert.

And two spots for new recordings of 13 and 20 year old songs? No thanks. They're just phoning it in because it's been three years. JKM wasn't good in 2004 and it's sure as hell not good now.

The CD is cheaper than a typical album, so I'm not going to complain that two tracks are old remakes. Even without those two, 13 tracks is still considered a full album.

Agreed. And to me they are "better" tracks than JJ remake because it's a very recent singles so it won't have much changes (or other singles on it).

I don't really mind most of the songs being "old". It's pretty much like how they did Platinum 9 Disc. I'm glad we got the shuffle songs before Haruka graduated.

Ah yeah, I guess the songs they performed during the current fall tour count as new.

I'm so-so about the songs chosen. I didn't really like the concert songs and only Watashi no Nanni mo Wakacchanai has grown on me. I think I once thought Seishun Say A-Ha sounded decent, so maybe that one is nice, too. Also, the one song we haven't heard yet, Romance ni Mezameru Mousou Joshi no Uta, not judging that one yet.

I'm actually somewhat excited about the Ai no Tane re-release and eh, JKM is always good in my book, even if it's just a filler.

Of course, Mukidashi is better than all these single a-sides, but I guess you can't get every single on an album if you release so many a-sides.

8 New Studio Recorded Songs, does that make it sound better? For people that haven't been blessed with going to the recent fall concert, all this is rather new material. I tried to listen to a few of the concert recordings but they were all crap. I'd also like to point out the amount of Tsunku. It's so nice to see his name plastered all over an album again.

AND breaking up the girls into smaller groups. That's why I like albums!

JKM was bound to show up sooner or later on an album with all the new girls so I'm giving it a pass this time.

I'm pretty happy with how UF handled this. Releasing the songs in concert first and then bringing them together in an album. I'll forever be bitter about Eri,JunJun and LinLin never getting to perform anything from the Fantasy! Juuichi album.

Though, Wakacchanai is missing Riho and Zukki. Buuuut I really can't complain too much. That's just 1 song.

Bands have been performing material at concerts before it's released since the dawn of recorded music, so this is not exactly earth shattering.

JKM is really the only thing that pisses me off at the moment.

Well someone forgot to give that memo to Morning Musume (and Up-Front) until recently. I swear sometimes they are ahead of the game and then other times, so far behind and playing on the wrong field. And yet I continue to come back every single time.

I went and pre-ordered the Blu-Ray version. I have a Blu-ray player, I might as well use the thing.

I really interested in hearing Miki and Sakura do Daisuki Dakara Zettai ni Yurusanai.

And yet, I STILL don't own the 13th album.

The 13th album is awesome. It's one of my most listened-to albums of all time. In fact, and I have no way of confirming this, it may be my single most listened-to album ever. And the weird thing is that, aside from "Renai Hunter," the songs on it aren't even their best songs. Yet I love listening to the album start-to-finish.

The covers aren’t bad. I wish the regular version wasn’t white and black outfits on a gray background. But there have been far worse covers. The LE looks a lot like the First Time album cover from the 90s.

Yeah that's the gist I got from this--that they were trying to mimic the first album cover. Just like how they stick new gens in the Morning Coffee outfits for pictures.

I mean it explains the bright lights and everything, but there was no reason to go ham on photoshopping their faces lol
