I knew they'd pick meimi & Osaka girl based on looks. I like meimi due to shugo chara. Can't recall other egg from auditon- only akari and the awesome one that didn't get on. Ha! Auto correct wries Amarillo for akari.

Akari got the biggest applause, of the non-eggs Tamura got the biggest, poor Kana got the least and Tsunku had to tell them to clap ^^;

I heard a wota call out "MIYAZAKI-CHAAAAN!!!" ;__;





And the official nicknames for the new girls are...



Fuyuka --> Fuu-chan I feel like the fans or another member will come up will a different and possibly better nickname.

Meimi --> Meimei Like Junlin! I actually guessed this nickname (on a different forum) and it was right :D

Kana --> Kanana Awww it's cute :) Someone said it sounds like Banana <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':lol:' />



And of course Rina is Rinapuu and Take is Take-chan.

Although 5 may seem like a lot, I am really happy with the picks. Karin most likely will end up with Musume so Akari was a good pick for Smileage. I didn't know the other Egg before these auditions but Akari has always been a cutie.



I like the idea of having a trial period, with the chance of a new group being split and formed should a couple of the newbies seem to fit a different image. And it doesn't seem like there is a chance of the original 4 getting demoted, at least not with how Tsunku's blog worded it. Looking forward to the concert in September and seeing how well the 5 sub members fare.

Wota should flame Tsunku's twitter with their want of Miyazaki in Morning Musume. (Same with Karin) If he doesn't then he's a bigger fool then I thought. Though if she ends up in one of the 48s, then I knew the girl was destined for them anyway based on her looks.



Kana was sort of an out of left field pick. He's so known for those. xD



I to think the whole demotion of the original 4 is a big nothing. Unless he wants to lose a fanbase he wont touch them. (Of course if he thinks he can get a bigger fanbase by splitting everyone up into 2 groups then good luck to him!) I just think it's a sign he wants them to work harder and not get complacent. As I said on H!O, this is a time of a big idol boom, they can't get a free ride anymore like C-ute and Berryz did. They have to make it on their own merit and stand out from the rest of the idol groups that debut. As I see it, if they stayed as a 4 member group over the next year they would have fizzled out, people (non-hard core H!P fans) would have stopped caring and moved on. This sub-member and demotion thing will keep people interested to see if he'll really follow through.



Edit: Ap, your new nickname is Angry princess. Also known as Angry-hime if I want to be gay about it. But I'll just call your Princess for short.

I only saw one audition video of here where she was doing some funny soft voice (like the female announcers at stations etc.) and in that video I didn't really got the impression you have.

It's also been forever since Yuki's been auditioning for anything. Given some makeup and a bit of trained hand, Yuka could be an ace. But I'm only saying that cause I think she's awesome. (And I'll miss her like the butthurt fan I am.)

There's no way Karin won't end up in MM or as a soloist. She'd be MM's first true ace of the millennium. As for the others...



Akari is perfect. Everything about her is S/mileage-like. She was the one members I really wanted.



The other Egg that wasn't Akari or Karin didn't impress me in the least. I think she's a dead weight addition.



Meimi is adorable, but they better teach her how to not sing like Minnie Mouse on helium. If she can do that, she'll be okay.



I had Kana picked as a choice since the first net audition. Her deeper voice would be good in the group. Also, Osaka represent!



Fuyuka is okay and I had picked her in the first audition as well, but dropped her later. The fact that she's a damn near clone of Dawa makes her kind of superfluous.



I still have hope that one member (Akari) at most will be added and the others will do different stuff. Also sad that Yamagata didn't make it because she would have definitely fit that sexy role the S/mileage members said they wanted.

Rewatched last week's Hello Hour just to confirm.



The reason why I couldn't remember Rina was because she was good...but weirdly didn't stand out. I like her I guess? She sings well and dances well.



Akari is great. Sucks about Miyamoto though.



I remember now - I totally thought they'd add the 16 year old Yamaga Kanae - she was so pretty and "sexy."



Fuyuka, I didn't like. I don't find her cute and I hate the way she sings. I think Ayaka is much cuter so this is like a downgrade. What is the point of adding a less-cute, less-talented Ayaka?



Meimi - yeah, she was a shoo-in (she just needed to be marginally talented).



Hated Rina. I thought it was super obnoxious that she was disregarding the teacher's advice -- I personally think that is what did her in completely. She was unwilling to learn.

1) Karin's conspicuous absence only leads me to believe that she's a complete shoe-in for MM or a solo act, like many of you have said. Especially since both of her Egg sisters managed to make it into S/mileage. And speaking of the Eggs...

Yeah, I was thinking of how sad she must feel :( Although I wonder if she's crying out of sadness, or happiness for her fellow members. Didn't Tsunku say that if he wanted a girl from the Suma auditions to join MM he would say "Come to Momusu instead" so maybe he told her that...? If she's gonna be a jukki you know...which there is a very high chance of.

I think she's really sad she didn't get in. During the camp, wasn't she talking about how much she loved S/mileage? I'm sure she wouldn't mind debuting in Momusu, if that happens, but I think the sting of not getting into her favorite group might remain for awhile.



I'm still really hoping Rio and Miyazaki get offers to join MM. They're both too cute to just disappear.

I don't think Karin will be broken-hearted if she ended up in Momusu. She would probably turn out to be a much bigger star, I think. Look at how well things have turned out for Riho, who is currently more popular than all four of the current members of S/mileage.

The S/mileage girls still get to do stuff like going on television and music events more, though. Riho won't ever get to do that unless she grows up and gets a good tv personality. She has more popularity within the H!P fandom, but outside of it, S/mileage are still on top compared to everyone else. They're just the best gig at the moment.

They all did pretty good speaking, the best of course was Akari. And Kanon seemed to be the only one to speak of the Fab4. Of course the others might have spoken on other news videos.

Well I don't think they were cut cut. As it looks it was more like the bottom part was sewn in with thread in a few places, so they just snipped those threads so the bottom fell down.

S/mileage needs to perform a Shugo Chara Egg song at a future concert. I have always wanted this.

They could do it at a summer/winter concert will all members and have Mizuki take over Saho's part, since Yuuka is the original Amulet Heart, or do it on the S/mileage tour and have Meimi or Take take over Saho's part. Meimi because she was in the SC play, and Take because she seems like a good Akari repleacement.
