The next single isn't out until Dec. 21st though, so it'll be awhile before we see them in true action.

You know you may be saved from a Reina lead for the first single, they may pull the Maji and give all the girls equal lines before starting the new year with the reign of Reina, Riho, Risa and apparently Ayumi. And then they'll graduate Aika and we'll get another round of auditions to curse about.



But seriously this is the first time I've ever been underwhelmed and uncaring about an audition result. And I liked Haruka and Masaki. :<



They really do need to do something with Ayumi's face or hair or both, because if I have to stare at her with every lead I'll poke my eyes out. She needs to learn the natural smile. It takes at least about a year to learn because Erina is starting to do it without a problem. Haruna can do it rather well as long as she doesn't bug her eyes out.

Found this out in the morning and gave myself the day to think this out.

All the chosen were in my favorites, so it's not like anyone I didn't like made it.

I won't make any final decision on " oh these members arent up to par" there could be a great reason as to why who got in did.



I hope they have great personalities.

I would have been delighted with these choices if Sara and/or Karin had been included.



But I'm still satisified overall. I think Haruka has the potential to be a big star, and Ayumi is someone to watch also.



Per H!O, there was a rumour going around 2ch today, that there is going to be an announcement on 16th Oct about a new unit which will include Karin. I hope this rumor is true.

I'm kinda over Sara not being added to Morning Musume right now. I guess it had to do with with other girls brought it and improved during the break between the training camp and final audition faster than her.

Okay I guess I've calmed down a little with my disappointment about Sara not making it.



I'm fine with the girls who made it (they were all better than Satsuki/Fuuka/Hinako), even the little 11 year old frog-voice Haruka. I can't deny that she's freaking adorable, seems to be a hard worker, and is pretty mature/composed for an 11 year old. Just please work on that nasty croaking (aka "husky") habit when you sing.





Ayumi is pretty, in my opinion. Agreed that she just needs to wear her freaking hair down. Too bad about the bags under the eyes. For now, she's my favorite of 10th gen, but none of the girls really stand out to me like "zomg I'm sooooo glad they made it!"



I'm shocked that 16 year old made it. She looks like a space case, but I can't deny that she's pretty. She just needs to work on her smile and not have that creepy stare.



I'm not sure what to make of Masaki. She could turn into a Fujimoto personality type, or could just be a boulder and have no personality at all. She just seems so freaking serious.

Well, half of 9th gen are dull as rocks, so if only 1/4 of 10th gen turns out that way, I'll consider it a vast improvement.





Also, Morning Musume's average age is now 16 if we don't include Takahashi. But since about half the group (and maybe Ayumi and Masaki) haven't had their birthdays yet, it'll go up.

I'd like to rewatch the video now that we know who won. I have no memory of Ayumi whatsoever. Also, I want to rewatch Masaki because in my memory, she was universally panned here because she was so bad at everything in training camp. She got a haircut and her looks improved but, that's about it. I don't care if 16 year old sucks - she's just really really pretty and every idol group needs a knock out. Tsunku's semi-creepy comments on the matter suggested to me that she was a shoo-in as long as she didn't fail completely in auditions.

Ayumi=Riho (experienced)

Haruna=Eripon (they just do)

Haruka=Mizupon (former eggs)





Daaishi is a horrible nickname. I can't wait for the fans or another member to give her a new one.

Ayu-chan...Ayu-chi...Ishiayu...Ayuu...even just Ayumi...or something interesting (ex: Ishikawa Rika=Charmy).

Daaishi sounds like Daikon.

I like all of them except for Ishida. Then again I didn't like Erina at first either, but I love her now. I'll reserve my judgement until we see more of them. With the little footage we've seen it's hard to tell what their personalities are.



I was hoping for some vocal skills, but I guess, also judging from previous auditions, that that's not a major factor in choosing the girls. So I'm not that surprised. Just a tad bit worried for the future of the group.

ookiiharu - Though I may end up just calling her Big Haru because I might forget Ookii.

chibiharu - Until she hits her growth spurt and turns into the next Yurina or something.

hokkimasa - Might just call her Masa or Hokkaido.

ayubeamer - Yeah this is going to stay



They are much more entertaining then what Tsunku can barely manage to do.



And I agree with Masaki, she's going to be good if she continues to develop. Considering how much she developed in a few weeks, a few months should be an interesting development. Hopefully she wont crash and burn like Reina did or go the other way and crash and burn like Aika did.

Agreed. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... nfused.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> But wow, a little professional makeup and styling does wonders. All of these girls look much better than they did in auditions. Except Haruka who was already adorable and Ayumi who got stuck with bad hair. But even still, you can see her potential to look really pretty. She looks great with her hair down in other photos.



All of the nicknames suck. Masaki's nickname is just...Masaki? Lazy. I hope they don't stick. Riho's never did, and they seem to use quite a few for Mizuki.



I'm also convinced that part of the audition process is based on names. Out of all of the members in the history of Morning Musume, there's only been two members with the same first name and zero members with the same last name. I swear the Tanaka from the audition was cut so she didn't overlap with Reina. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':lol:' />

I actually think Aika looks really good here. It's Risa who looks awkward (and way too skinny D:). But oh god, are the Risa fans now going to be complaining even more for her to be a front girl now that she finally got to be up front in picture. Riho actually looks like a girl in the picture for once though, so good for her.
