I find this hard to believe. Especially since there is no source to validate it. Plus unless they don't have lenses in the glasses, it could damage their eyes. I know, I wear glasses. Which it isn't because of wearing them when I wasn't supposed to. Plus it rules out the possibility of wearing them for a new single since we haven't got out 55 yet. So many things different and not fitting in my opinion. I call this to be a theory!!
 
Haha they release a song with the words theory and irony, then here we are, thanks to Tsunku, shooting out theories. Anyone have an irony?

I don't follow AKB at all, but would people call Tsunku a copycat just because he opened up an audition to fan voting?  It's not like he's copying some radical new idea; to me it just feels like the next logical step to add some excitement and intrigue to the process.

Didn't he try that with TNX already? As much I loved a lot of the releases, the only group still together is THE Possible as far as I know. Everyone kind of vanished in regards to Tsunku.

I have a feeling the announcement has something to do with AU.  It's kinda weird that he would announce it at the AU conference if he didn't have anything to say about AU. Maybe a Morning Musume  themed phone?

About the AKB thing, the draft didn't let the fans vote, but the girls decided who came in and so on. God knows if they'll go on with it this year... nothing's been said about the draftees and that was 2 months ago.
The fans only decide the line-up for one single per year and that's it.
If MM has copied AKB on anything I'd say is the whole handshake event and stuff, but I think everyone is trying to do the thing now lol
 
Having an audition where the girls themselves could choose the new member would be similar to the draft...
But having the fans use the AU phones or whatever app they can come up with to vote for the new girl... well, the fans like to feel empowered (and we've seen how's that worked for AKB lol) and it could be really something. Also, she'd be the frst to really know she's a fans' favourite lol

Haha, watching the videos fans would be angry, is a whole joke thing.
(From MM's video) Because Morisanchu are going to be in MM, but they didn't audition, aren't cute enough, and are going to become MM's new center.
It ends with Eripon saying "Center is where I'm supposed to be so it's not good" and Sayu replies with "You aren't center right now anyways" lol
 
In Tsunku's video he says that Oshima (a member of Morisanchu) has a great smile, and is very good at singing, so much, that MM will have to catch up with her. And that Kurosawa is even better at dancing, and expressions than the current MM. (I assume he's joking haha.)
Also for those that do not know, Morisanchu has a 3rd member, but she is currently pregnant and on hiatus.

Exactly what I wanted to say.

But I'm not mad or anything, I knew better than to get hyped too much and I actually laughed at that shorter clip. They're doing something out of the box finally and a deal with a major mobile operator means a lot of sweet sweet exposure. So it's all good?

I would have been pissed off if I stayed until 2 AM to watch the stream though.

A national CM deal is not nothing. It's a very big deal for a group that, only a few years ago was sliding into nothing. And if you didn't think it was going to be a CM deal from all the hints, lol for you.
I think it's great, And the fact that the fax played into it all, classic troll Tsunku move. It all plays into the CM, every bit of it. 
 
Just think about it. Morning Musume are going to be promoting a discount cellphone program for students. What is one of the biggest fan-bases an idol needs to survive apart from the average everyday male wota? Students (preferably middle/highschool). This is a pretty damn good move to land this gig if you ask me.

Reading Shoujo Q I guess it does help them. And I know being it in an AU thing it would be something related to them, but still... the serious tone of the fax and all made me pumped for something big lol
