Can someone explain to me why the "NFS" (Not For Sale" idol goods are? People charge a slightly higher price for them so are they of some specialty?

They are usually things that are like a campaign going on in the Hello Shop or something where you buy a certain amount you get a free photo, and the photos you get aren't available to buy directly.

It may also be a photo that came with a calendar/photobook for example.

I tried to find the Hello!Morning wiki with no luck, but in the upper right hand corner of your screenshot, it reads "Zekkyou commercial". Zekkyou could translate to 'extreme shouting' or 'screaming', which was kind of the whole point of the segment - to do CMs under rollercoaster-induced rush.
[/quote]
Thanks. I went and added it to the piece.

Re: The Official H!P Question Thread
What is the average lifespan of an H!P group? I'm worried about c-ute.
Re: The Official H!P Question Thread
For non audition based groups (Not Morning Musume) like Berryz, Melon Kinenbi and C-ute 10-11 years. Melon K stayed together for a year after leaving Hello!Project (thus making it to 11) but they disbanded. But they came together a few times after that.
C-ute have a special case of being late bloomers. Something Berryz and Melon Kinenbi never experienced. They started strong and THEN fizzled out. C-ute are now at the top of their game so it's kind of new territory for the group and UF to deal with. So who knows how it will all play out.

Re: The Official H!P Question Thread
Well, looking at the main groups: (from first release to present)
Morning Musume; November 3, 1997 to July 21, 2015 17 years, 8 months, 18 days
Berryz Koubou; March 3, 2004 to March 3, 2015 11 years
C-ute; May 6, 2006 to July 21, 2015 9 years, 2 months, 15 days
S/mileage/ANGERME; June 7, 2009 to July 21, 2015 6 years, 1 month, 14 days
Juice=Juice; March 31, 2013 to July 21, 2015 2 years, 3 months, 21 days
Country Musume; July 23, 1999 to July 21, 2015.
2007 is when they were left with one member, and technically they never listed CM as being on hiatus, or anything. in 2009 Satoda graduated from H!P, but she remained as the sole member of CM. In 2013 the group was transferred to Up Front. Therefore, I am not listing their tenure.
Melon Kinenbi; February 19, 2000 to February 19, 2010 10 years
v-u-den; September 23, 2004 to June 29, 2008 3 years, 9 months, 6 days
Taiyou to Ciscomoon; April 21, 1999 to October 2000 1 year, 6 months approx.
Now, not all of them were necessarily active to the very end of this time, keep that in mind.

I did notice that c-ute has been having a lot of success lately, but what happened to berryz shocked me and caught me off guard. It made me nervous about other groups formed a while ago. But hopefully it will end up playing out well for c-ute since their my fave H!P group.

Re: The Official H!P Question Thread
On the newest translation of Riho's blog, she's apologizing for the inconvenience and saying she's been allowed 4 days to rest. Does anyone know what's wrong?
Re: The Official H!P Question Thread
We don't know what wrong with her, they only reported that she was in poor health.
Re: The Official H!P Question Thread
That concerns me even more honestly :( Even when the girls have the flu they don't tend to take 4 days off and we're always told what's wrong with them.

Re: The Official H!P Question Thread
I've been looking for MM stuff on ebay out of boredom and I came across Special Boxes, any idea where I can buy these officially? I don't see them on CDjapan or yesasia. Also do they come with posters like normal CDs?
Re: The Official H!P Question Thread
Would you have a pic of them ? I'm not sure of what you're speaking about (have an idea though).

Ok, that's what I thought :). You won't be able to buy them on sites like CDJapan. These are called "Box set", which mean all editions of the single are in 1 box, though the main interest of this box being that you're given tickets to attend some events related to the single (cheki (photos with some members), handshake, signing session). These are released for MM, C-ute, Angerme, JJ, CG and KF (so groups which debuted in major).
So if you want to buy a box set, someone will have to buy it for you in Japan. Either sellers on Ebay like dora, sellers on Yahoo Auctions Japan (you'll have to use a proxy to buy there) like this one, or directly a proxy in Japan, at its release (it's really expensive though, so if you won't attend the events, I wouldn't recommand it unless you want it to count for the Oricon sales).
I don't know about posters but I think they don't come with posters, since you're supposed to buy/be given some at the events I mentionned foregoing. But I'd need someone to confirm (or contradict) this last part.

Re: The Official H!P Question Thread
I see, it's not very convenient to buy them unless you're in/planning to go to Japan. Thanks for the info.
Re: The Official H!P Question Thread
I'm doing a blog piece on Sayumi's graduation and I have a question. I'm guessing that the song the girls sing during the ceremony when Sayumi comes out in the red kimono, "Mikaeri Bijin," was composed for Sayumi's graduation. Is that correct?
Thanks.
P.S. Thanks, Al.
P.P.S. My new blog entry is now up.

Hey, are there subtitled radio shows for H!P? I could have sworn there was someone or some site that uploaded radio rips (ie Youngtown) with transcripts. No? My imagination?

Re: The Official H!P Question Thread
Same, but they've been pretty inactive lately. Plus they don't post transcripts nor do I think they link to full episodes. There are lots of Youtube channels that post the radio shows on them pretty soon after they've aired.

Do you have room (& a mirror) to train yourself ?

I would have say Ookiina Ai de Motenashite.

Ooki doesn't seem to have a regular dance shot, but there is this simple just-Okai video.
