The last time we had three _____Fes events was 2015, and all three were released separately. Since then, each one has been for 4 events, with only 2 getting full releases while the other 2 had performances included as extras.
 
However, the setlists are so similar for this that I wouldn't be surprised if only one got a full release while the other 2 became supplementary content.

Will there be a Hello Fes next year? It seems to me that the fall may be a better time for me to visit Japan again than spring (which was really hot during my trip this year to Hina Fes). This event, which I hadn't known about before these posts, sounds like it might be worth planning a trip around. And I'm assuming the Satomi/Satoyama events this weekend were part of it, right?

Now for a less shocking graduation: Mitsui Aika is going to leave H!P and Up-Front and entertainment business as a whole. Source is oricon.co.
 
For the newer fans among us: Aika was an 8th gen Morning Musume member and graduated alongside Niigaki Risa because of her bad health (she always had problems with her foot and had to sit out (literally) a few singles). 
 
Apparently she wants to pursue a career in cooking and is going to New Zealand once more, this time with a worker's visa.
 
She also wrote a blog post.

Apparently she was still working at UpFront, she mentionned translating MV lyrics in english on her blog post.

She says that she was interested in cooking/owning a restaurant long before graduation and was thinking of doing that after, but because she had no experience in the working (adult) world, management recommended she try building experience with them first. She started doing English work for them after her first study abroad, but the Houston trip made her realize her skills weren't quite there yet. She went back to NZ where she rediscovered her love of cooking during her home stay and went to culinary school.

I agree it may be a bit worrying, but it only says she will be doing a short-term abroad exchange so she should be back after that. And if it is a hint to her graduation, to me it would happen the soonest at the end of MM. spring tour, which would also be logical to integrate an American / Australian or New-Zeland / English university with everyone else in September.

Yes, I am happy they are actually giving her a chance to really try to step up her English skills, which, mainly from I get from you English native-speakers, can only be improved by living again overseas, to get out of her text book English. And this while letting her staying in Morning Musume., so she can figure out better what she wants or not (even if not completely, it is way better than only being able to choose from theoretical thoughts, and from Japan, so surrounded with her friends, family and so on).

H!P is the least active in the beginning of the year. You just have the winter concerts and little to no promo going on. It's a perfect time to slip out and do something productive with your time. 


They figure, half the girls get sick during the Winter Concerts anyway. I mean, Karin missed basically the same amount of time and she WAS sick. So instead of being sick, Miki's going to do some school work (hopefully all without getting sick). 
 
I'm happy for Miki and I only hope this helps her more in the future. I can tell she's had a good impact on Morning Musume and their English skills. At least from Houston to New York. They actually don't look at you like you have 4 heads when you try to talk to them in English because your brain can't figure out a single word in Japanese, even though you KNOW it. xD

In my brief encounters with Sakura, Kaga and Haruna at the New York event, they seemed to understand what I was saying. Or at least they know how to pretend they do. I was impressed.

I think Sakura is one of the best Momusu members when it comes to foreign languages, from what we can see in the videos where she speaks English and from my own little experience (last time I went to a H!P event, I told Sakura right after our cheki (photo) that I was from France, and 6 hours later, during the handshake, she told me "Merci" (and very well pronounced) when I arrived in front of her (❤) ).

Miki's English is definitely textbook but I've noticed at times she sounds much more casual -- less stiff -- and it seems to be around Japanese people who also speak English, and not native English speakers. The two specific examples I'm thinking of are when she did the video with Aika on how to order MM merch overseas, and when she interviewed May-J. Maybe it's a lack of pressure because you're talking to someone who's English isn't perfect, either? I think by going abroad will definitely help her; Chinami's English on Instagram has become more informal and casual as well over the years she's been in NZ.

Nakanishi Kana has a problem with her left Achilles tendon and has to rest for 4 ~ 6 weeks at least. She will participate seated at Angerme's Christmas event, will miss Angerme performance at rock'on Countdown and will only do MC for H!P Countdown and Tokyo dates on the winter tour. She should take part to the rest of Angerme's activities, as long as she doesn't have difficulties to do so. They will see if she feels better in the course of January, if her medical treatment goes well, and decide what to do next around that time.
