I don't know, I'm not feeling that. It'll grow on me, but my first impression isn't that great. Hopefully the PV and dance are good.

And what's with that "MAIDEN SOUND" sample that they always use?

Sweet, look at all these links! I love Korean music more and more and keep meaning to move my fandom there XD So far I've just fallen for a few songs here and there- Gee is one, and Super Junior's Sorry Sorry. There's nothing at all original about it, it's just like . . . 13 Asian dudes trying to be Justin Timberlake. But I'm ADDICTED, so hard! I can't explain it! Maybe it's because they sound like they're saying naked naked badger badger and that makes me giggle.
it's just. Us finishing what we started in that hotel in Little Tokyo. - TnA

Which is why they had it with After School too, they're part of the same company and I guess have the same producers. But that wasn't on the album that leaked. (Finally got the full song on Youtube if you want to listen to it.) So I don't know if it'll be on the actual CD or not. :/

And about Super Junior's "Sorry Sorry" -- I can see how it's popular, but for some reason it just didn't STICK with me. It was actually pretty annoying. And I'm usually one who loves hopelessly repetitive yet deadly catchy pop. :/

Honestly, Sorry Sorry is trying to be a male Gee, but it's overlong, never has a build up and has no charm or warmth. (Plus, the lives seem to be really bad dance wise. Which is weird, cause SJ formerly were strong at synchronicity.) The only plus is very little of the ones that can't sing and practically no HeeChul at all which is heaven for me. Until the stupid ass dance ending anyways. M's second album will be better, simply because there's less chaff members involved.

I'm still having problems getting into Big Bang passed Lies, which I love. Any recommendations?

OMGGG "Opnun Bonho" [wrong number] is perfection. The whole of their first 2 mini albums are really what made me absolutely adore them.

Woah these songs are making me nostalgic -- I listened to them so much this time last year. x.x;

I don't know, the original sounds better to me. It might just be the Youtube audio quality, though.

I wonder what happened to her last year, though? Her last album was in late '07.

She only has two albums out, but they range from pop to hip hop to dance to ballads, most of it really good.
Amd Bae Seul Ki had some rumors of putting out her 3rd album last September, but nothing came to fruition. She's been dead music wise since she stopped promoting "Dagawa" early in 2008. She mostly been doing modeling for the past year. Which is unfortunate. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... #>/sad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';/' />
BAE SEUL KI IS BACK!!! ...Except that she seems to have hit her head and thinks she's Son Dam Bi now, and she's not really very good at it. :/ It seems like a waste of BSK to have her sing that. The song isn't in her best range, and she's annoyingly autotuned in at least the chorus. She's a much better singer than that.

It's the signature... thing of writers/composers Brave Brothers, who have a really extensive hit catalogue/ Yep, they're everywhere, fucking hit factory. They didn't use to do the little signature clip at the beginning, but maybe it's only for songs that are 100% by them? The Big Bang song doesn't have it, but I know that Kush and G-Dragon himself had a lot of imput on that track, so...

(edit: took out my massive explaination because someone else explained it all in the After School thread, so just go there. Redundancy is uncool!

Relevant: Really fucking awesome remix of 'Bad Boy' and 'Last Farewell' together, which kind of just goes to show how... similar Brave Brothers's songs are sometimes...

I love Super Junior and I love Sorry, Sorry and I will cut anyone who says otherwise. I'm not one of THOSE crazy fans, but... aw hell, I just like my boys.

Some body on a different board posted a high-res pic of the Girl's Generation group and I was intrigued by seeing so many so beautiful young women in one picture and none of them. :>

So I youtube'd them and found 2 videos/songs that were seemed somewhat interesting.

One (that gee thing) has already been mentioned on page 1.

I'm still trying to figure out who is who in the group on pictures, as they somehow always look different on different fotos/videos...

EDIT:

btw, this is the sexiest thing I've seen in many many many months:

When I saw the first few seconds of that video I honestly thought she was going for some sort of Asian Lady Gaga thing.

I like the song alright... Have to hear it a few more times...

After School's Diva and Girls Generation's Kissing you and Gee I pretty much liked on contact...

And I have you guys and this thread to thank for it...

BTW!: BOUT THE DOWNLOADS: I'll let you know if I need any K-pop download's but right now I could really use some (I-pod compatible) Peanuts, Pink Lady, Candies' Haru Ichiban, Melon Kinenbi's Give Me Up, and Teresa Teng's "Song of Four Seasons" Any help on that would be greatly appreciated.

Some of the girls in Soshi don't think before they speak. It's mostly Tiffany but lately Taeyeon came under fire for this too.

On her radio show she complained about something that happened to her in the hospital with a nurse, which later an apology was demanded for. In the same one she "complimented" Alicia Keys by saying something like, "For a black girl, she's pretty" (to my knowledge this mostly upset foreign fans). Since she's been rumored to date TVXQ's Junsu a lot of people hate her for that too.

I don't really like her but she can sing well...

Since a lot of anti-fans like to jump at whatever chance they get of hating on them more, some of SNSD's "scandals" have been really magnified.

eta: Here is the hospital nurse rant.

It's not that bad but choosing to rant about it on the radio seemed too reckless.

And to steer it back on topic, Nobody by the Wonder Girls is the only foreign song Mr. Melon has said he's loved upon hearing it for the first time. Probably because it's half english HAH! I keep meaning to listen to more korean artists, particularly their outrageous boy bands, but I keep forgetting to look them up. Oops. I think the last korean artist I listened to was Yi Sung Yol.

For the longest time I was addicted to Sori's Ipsuri Jeongmal. The sound quality is kind of bad in that YT vid but yeah... xD

I think she sort of looks like Ishikawa Rika.

I mostly like music like this rather than cutesy stuff like new KARA.

Somehow though...early SNSD was great and I love Yoreullei. Rock U and Pretty Girl are kind of guilty pleasures too.

Think Yuri is pretty much clean! She's also one of my favorites, along with Sooyoung and my #1 YoonA. Usually anti-fans who complain about SNSD mention Tiffany (they say fake behavior, over cutesy, rude and snobbish, formerly friends with Jessica H.O. who insulted many other Korean celebs including BoA, made fun of Shinhwa's Junjin's dance and compared Hyesung's singing voice to that of a goat's, "laughed" about a really horrible earthquake in China, etc.), YoonA, Taeyeon, and Jessica (close friends with Hero Jaejoong and rumored several times to be more than friends with him, also rumored to be the ex of others). But usually they accuse all of the members of being plastic and "loose", hence names like "Plastic Generation" and "Slut Generation" :glare:

The ones who say SNSD can't sing are really crazy... They bother me the most when they compare them to WG, when it's actually true that WG has less talent.

By the way you guys, 2PM's full video came out today: Again & Again. First I hated the song but since I love the video it's growing on me.

Again & Again is a decent track, but 2PM's debut was so much better, holy crap. Pervy lyrics + awesome dance + insanely catchy = ftw.

Has everyone already listened to Diva Diva Diva D-D-Diva! yet? The new Buono! PV outfits kind of reminded me of them, and fuck that song is awesome.

Anyone heard of Davichi? They are soulful. 8282 is so good. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=58u0RNCLqlI

About After School: "It's the concept for After School, saids Pledis Ent. The members can be added or replaced all the time. They have explained that it's like Japan's Morning Musume."

That's pretty cool. I like how MM is rotated.

To add to Mia's post about 2NE1, someone posted both versions of their Fire MV on youtube:

- Street Version

- Space Version

I think I like the street version a little better, though the space version reminds me a bit of Swi.T's debut MV.

I'm liking "Fire." It's got a good beat and some catchy lines. Looking forward to more from this group.
