I have to agree. But the one thing I can't figure out is WHY THE FUCK ARE THERE SO MANY POSTS IN THIS THREAD? This is the most vapid and ridiculous thread I've seen in a long time (not saying anyting against you, Trike, but it is) and there are more posts in this thread than any thread has gotten for months. *shrug* Why do we keep going on about this? You're very wrong, she's easily one of the 3 or 4 cutest girls in all of H!P, period right now. That picture that was posted is fairly old and just not great looking in general, but its really not that bad. Nowadays, she's gorgeous, funny, and adorable all at once.

Aside from Umeda, I don't really like to pick on the kids' appearance. They were all adorable when Tsunku first reeled them in (which already skews my opinion of them) and no one could really control how puberty would stretch them all out. Nakky has horse teeth and Saki is not-so-pretty but they are all cute to me. Maimi is a gem in that ragtag bunch and she'll look pretty with a shaved head.

MM is free game imo because they all join post-puberty. You can only expect their looks to improve over the years. Oh yes - the magic of the idol industry with their team of make up artists, photoshoppers, stylists, hair extensions (and for some, plastic surgeons) have made even Mitsui and Risa potential beauties. It only makes me mad when stylists put them in super unflattering clothes or when the girls themselves just start looking like hell. Like when Makoto let herself get loud and fat after becoming famous? And not even adorably round baby Kago or Nacchi-fat or cooly apathetic Yossi-fat. Or when Tsuji refused to put down her white eyeliner. Stuff like that bugs.

I also agree! I was actually happy about how cute she looked when she first had that haircut but then I started watching Egao YES Nude and Kanashimi Twilight performances and I just wanted that Mitsui back <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... #>/wub.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':wub:' /> ... Now they just won't let her have bangs (well, it could be her choice) and she'll look weird instead of really cute like in the beginning...
