A Shocking C-ute PV

C-ute PV has been dropped like a big hot mess on Dohhh UP! Get it while it's still alive and kicking.



Here's a spoiler, Airi kills Dumbledore , takes over C-ute and murdered half of Maimi's hair! D:

I don't get the point of doing songs like this. I really like the song but, why not just...have Airi release it as a solo if they're going to have her sing 95% of the song and lead every formation in the dance? Maybe they figure the name "C-ute" is more well known than "Suzuki Airi"? I guess every group eventually gets their Furusato, but Airi is no Nacchi (in terms of iconic status, not talent). Maybe...in the tradition of Furusato this song will be followed my a new member that will eclipse Airi in the group? <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':weeeh:' />

I couldn't decide if the obvious reference was more cheesy or interesting, but after the rest of the song falling into mediocrity and not delivering, I'll stick with cheesy. Although I am now excited about the idea of a H!P song as the next Bond theme.



Couldn't really tell from the low quality video, but were the wind machine shots badly green-screened? Could be just the lighting though.

Maimai just keeps getting awesomer and awesomer. The older she gets, the more like Yossi she becomes. She's got more poise than, like, 90% of H!P performers. She is quite simply the coolest 13-year-old in the history of adolescence. If I'd been a fraction as cool when I was her age, my life would have been so different.

BTW, why was she MIA at the Summer 2009 H!P concert? It sure suffered from her absence.

Originally, I thought Maimi had some solos from the performance rip, so I was "..." surprised at their disappearance (rather, non-existence) in the PV. But other than the obvious Airi is Everywhere syndrome, C-ute is less c-ute and more aw-kward. They looked better in Namida no Iro. But this PV overall fails on boredom. Who wants to bet that the dance-shot is going to be 'camera zooms in. camera stops. camera zooms out. camera stops. repeat.'? Now that I think about it, they grabbed the lights from Iroppoi and stuck the girls in the office carpark over the weekend.

I love Airi so all I can say is that I love the PV but the song... is just better than their two previous singles and still more forgettable than Shochuu, in my opinion. But I can't pretend I'm not happy that Airi recovered the status of center girl.



And I agree with kitaoji, I also thought there was more Maimi. I was also speechless. Fortunately, it was a good surprise. However, I can relate to those who didn't like it. I would have hated if it were all Maimi instead. *goes back to being delighted*

This song feels like a Summer release that would get a beach themed PV.

They could change some of the "SHOCK" yells to "SHARK". <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':sideways:' />



(but if they did make the PV on a beach and released it in January, that would be the biggest shock of all)



It's a catchy song, but it's not really that exciting, it seems like they tried to be more like indies C-ute, but with less charm. The whisper line is cool at least.



Honestly, when I listen without watching, Airi has enough variation in her singing that it doesn't seem like only one vocal. I'm curious to see a performance of this, and see just who is doing backup for certain lines.

Yah yah, me too! I was excited when I heard it had a little 'spyish' tune to it too. (I am a secret nerd for Spy genre~) So I was hoping the PV would go in that direction. A little bummed it turned out to be rather mediocre. The song is cute at least.

The song is growing on me and Airi is looking SO CUTE as usual. May she never trade her snaggle tooth for a Tsuji smile.



I wish they had given Maimi a more feminine outfit as a nice contrast to her hair, but that's ok I guess.

I wish they gave everyone a more feminine outfit. Except for Saki, all of them look a bit strange in some promotional shots...



And, TightWetPucchi, SHARK would have been too great, so UF sold it to Japan's next sweetheart. But, really, I'm still laughing out loud imagining that PV! Airi does seem to be the best singer, even if Maimi has the best voice, so she can make all of those variations and still sound okay. However, I still thought I heard Maimi in that live preview... It was from their FIVE concert, right? It won't take long until we see who's singing with her, then.

We watched the PV last weekend for the first time and I have to say this is really bad. The song isn't catchy, the PV is boring and lame, the dance is really stupid-looking and spastic, and having the same person sing the entire song is really irritating. Everyone else just stands in the back looking pissed off and bored in the PV. I like Airi and all, but she just doesn't fit as the leader of a group. Solo artist? Maybe. But leader of a group? Way too awkward. I'd have to say this is C-ute's worst single so far by a long way.
