MM's "Onna ga Medatte Naze Ikenai"

Well, I have somewhat of a present for haruhitastic power in the form of MM's new single. Sayu played an incomplete preview on her radio show. A full preview, if it isn't out from the new year concerts, will show up on Risa and Eri's radio show afterwards, just to keep you informed <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... umbsup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />



It's Rockin' Angry Musume! Not too terribly exciting, and I wasn't too fond of Buono's MY BOY, but this is what it sounds similar to. No chipmunk voices, less Takahashi flair, and I think Reina is... improving? She doesn't sound as piercing as she was in the previous singles. The instrumentals don't sound bad either: standard rockish band? I really disliked the synths in Shouganai and Nanchatte so these two singles are a step up. It's still growing on me, and it sounds like it should be a fun 'wake up song'.



UFA had better not disappoint with the dance. An interesting PV will be a bonus, but we know that'll never happen.

I like the verse and chorus instrumentals, but the intro synth is killing me. It's nice to hear them using (possibly) all of the girls in some of the chorus lines. I dunno, it's still too short to make a good judgement yet.

Same sound again... Takahashi, then Reina, then Eri then the rest, now being only the eighth gen. Okay, I will grow to love it so it's okay. The instrumentals are good but it reminds me of some other song. And, dang. I can still hear Koharu! It's probably Aika or even Sayumi but I can still hear her. I wish she did this song, actually...



And here si what they say to be the full preview. I haven't heard that one yet to check, but it is still low quality.

The beginning reminded me of those hectic 16-Bit action game intro themes. haha

The rest is.. weird and convoluted. (I have only listened to the small preview)



The song writers really try hard to make us hate Takahashi and Reina with pushing them in our faces all the time.

Who could have arranged this... I feel like it could be Hirata, the synth kind of seems like the one used in Watashi no Mirai no Danna-sama.



I hope this gets an instrumental track whether Onna is the single or c/w track.

I only wish the rest of the song kept up that energy... it's kind of half Angry Musume, half... idk, Mikan? Got a bit of a Nanchatte Renai vibe from the Chorus? That fan recording is beyond useless, but I like what I hear from the short one. I absolutely love the intro, and agree with vanillacat that the rest of the song -- upon first listening to an incomplete recording -- doesn't seem to quite measure up to it. I look forward to hearing the real thing.

Well, not from what I hear... Or does it mean he was inspired by her? Perhaps, that means she'll be the center of the covers? I still hope that she'll be center of something. Anything.

The source was saying that Aika may be the center for the dance and the PV. I think she deserves it. She danced the hell out of SYO and KP. And if they're supposed to be fierce while dancing, she's one of the best. I'm pretty much hoping that Aika will be the center with Eri right there as well.



The synth will always be there whether it's too much or just right. Either way, I like this song. And I love the lyrics!!

This song, in my opinion, is an excellent B-side track.



For me, it has a Mikan-like property to it, in that it's not particularly bad, but not particularly memorable either.

I need a better version of this song to really give it an honest review, but I don't know if I like it. It's very B-side and I'm so over Ai singing.



For now, I'll wait for a CD rip or at least a PV to keep me entertained. I was bored by this song!

I think it's a song on it's own. A lot of people are comparing it to some other songs and I'm like "I so don't hear that". Some one compared it to Iroppoi Jirettai and I was like "HUH?". I'm liking it the more I listen to it, even though it is LQ.....which means I'll really like it when it comes out in HQ as well as the PV.



I don't have any hang-ups or preconceptions for the PV......I would just like better choreography. If any of you ever grace H!O and read in the OnnaMedaNaIke topic, then you've probably read my rant on the choreographer that they have now.

In a way, it reminds me of "Onna ni Sachi Are," which I have no problem with at all.

It's nothing spectacular, the only memorable thing is that intro and I feel like they should be driving around in go-karts shooting banana peels at people or something. But that would be far too cool for Musume so I'll wait to see if the PV makes me excited about this release at all.



They need some new blood and soon, the group is starting to sound stale.

None, they are just advertising Hello!Pro, or at least Morning Musume. But it would be great to have a secret live with just the four of them. And wasn't it China?

This song sounds really bad to me so far. I mean, Kimagure Princess sounded weird at first too, but I could tell it still had some potential once the full quality version came out, but this is just plain bland in every way. Hopefully the PV is good or something.

I'm not really feeling this either. But, as usual, the full quality version ends up changing my opinion at least slightly.

They are also releasing a DVD with a Live performance probably from the upcoming Winter H!P concert. I hope it's one heck of a live performance.

I can't see what they would be for for anything else, so.

It basically looks like the Osaka Koi no Uta costumes, only blood stained. Why would they do this? This type of song has so much potential for cool, stylish costumes D: Save the poofy Barbie dresses for the concerts, if you must have them at all.
