The Graduating Class of 2010
This year a group of H!P girls will be graduating from High School and Middle School. To mark this special occasion since it's filled with so many of the top H!P performers, they decided to make a photobook. "Hello! Project Best Shot!!" features Momoko Tsugunaga and Risako Sugaya from Berryz Kobo, Mami Yajima and Airi Suzuki from Cute, and Erina Mano. It's being released on March 20th. UTB Magazine had some preview shots available (Or they might be promotional off shoot shots I don't know) so I gathered what I could and saved them for you to show below if you haven't already seen them. I'm sure the rest of the book will be filled with recent photobook shots from past photobooks all with the school theme.
But wait, there's more! Apparently Saki Shimizu from Berryz and Chisato Okai from Cute are also graduating from High School and Middle School respectively. They weren't part of the "Special" group, but Weekly Playboy didn't forget because it's not biased like UFA. (As well as a whole slew of other idols, I'll add that picture too and see if you can spot a few you know. ) (I'm missing Saki's image, no love for Saki. :< )
Congrats to all the girls for being able to balance Idol Life and School Life. It's a big accomplishment, especially to those who made it through High School without dropping out.

This would actually be a fucking awesome collaboration unit if they just threw out eyebrows. I hope they release some sort of interesting DVD with it, too.
This is a really cool concept for a photobook, though. Is this an inter-group thing or something? What's the deal with the AKB/Idoling girls in it too? Or are they two separate things?

The Weekly Playboy thing is just a Magazine feature highlighting all the girls that are graduating this year in the Idol industry. Weekly Playboy doesn't care about mingling AKB48, Idoling!!! and H!P girls together. Idols are Idols no mater where they come from.
Unless of course it says something completely different in the magazine, but then I can't read it so I don't know. xD

I wish UFA had taken a tip from the AKB48 playbook and come up with a graduation song and video for the graduating members. Y'know, like "Sakura no Hanabiratachi." How nice would that have been? (And why do I have to think of these things?)

Re: The Graduating Class of 2010
Wait, is Airi graduating from high school or middle school?
If memory serves me right, isn't fifteen compulsory age for school attendance in Japan? Then if you want, you can go to high school?
The school system over there confuses the fuck outta me. :[

How did I think Erina was twenty already?
Whatever. Congratulations all around. I guess that leaves Mai Hagiwara.

Wishful thinking?
Actually, I was shocked that Airi was so young. How can Momoko and Mano be older than her by that much? Maybe it is that Momoko and Mano seem super young to me.
The sailor uniform is so unflattering on Risako.

Eyebrows has lost her eyebrows. Her... eyebrowsness. Her muchness, to quote Alice in Wonderland. I LIKE. She's always been one of my favorites, but ugh she's gotten so gorgeous, if not the most jailbait-y looking 18-year-old ever.
Did they put them in different uniforms for the sake of different uniforms or do they all go to different schools?

Re: The Graduating Class of 2010
The only unflattering thing about Risako is their complete and utter idiocy when it comes to doing her hair. I mean, seriously? That 2nd pic with all their pics next to each other, her hair looks like my hair when I first roll out of bed in the morning.

Pretty much everything about Risako in photos is unflattering, but it really doesn't help when they give her $5 Wal-Mart weave.
@ Vanillacat - most of them probably don't actually GO to school (tutors and such), but I've heard girls mention in making-of things before that they wore the uniform from their home school for PBs. I would imagine that they actually all would go to different schools if they still lived in their respective home towns.
